They claim their child has been abducted by paedophiles and issue a pic of her with makeup on! Imo they put their other daughter at risk by issuing such a picture!

Hi Claudia and all.

Justice in 2010 for MBM!

If the picture the McCanns have issued is a genuine picture of MBM then it should have remained a private family picture. It imo is wrong on so many levels to place this picture out in the public domain especially given that this child is missing, her parents claim abducted. They claim abducted by paedophiles! How on earth can releasing that picture into the public domain help in the search for MBM? Imo it will cause a hindrance in the search for their missing child. It creates another WTF situation within the world wide public domain! If I were part of GA's legal team I would be using this as evidence that the McCanns themselves create a hindrance in the search for their missing child they claim has been abducted by paedophiles. They claim their child has been abducted yet have no evidence to support their claims! Imo they damage the search for their missing child! Imo by issuing this picture into the world wide public domain places their other daughter at risk! What if the abductor (what abductor) found the picture enticing? And as MBMs sister is not much older decides or has thoughts to abduct her! The McCanns have been in "straight from the horse's mouth" bizarre interviews these past few days. Interviews where they have talked about having thoughts such as, as a family being wiped out on the motorway, wishing it was all over! What parent would think about their children being wiped out in a motorway crash? Is that really what sane parents think about for their children? Their last living moments being involved in motorway impact! There is no guarantee that those children would not suffer even for a few seconds if they were wiped out on the motorway. As Drs the McCanns would know this! Then again as Drs they should have known leaving young children unsupervised leaves them open to all sorts of danger let alone abduction! If words such as the McCanns have been using these past few days were used by patients in mental health care would these patients be discharged from hospital? Would these patients if they were parents have their children in their charge? I hope Leicester Social Services are doing their jobs correctly. SS have no excuse if anything happens to those twins as the McCanns themselves have been making bizarre statements in the press! Surely alarm bells should be ringing somewhere!

Hi Claudia, Zodiac and all,

This couple are unbelievable!

Why allow a photo like that to be shown worldwide when they must have known it would cause such contraversy and the paedophile bloggers would have a field day.

Or is it contraversy they are after to keep up the momentum of publicity which creates lots of interviews and plenty of money for their so called Madeleine Fund.

It should be renamed McCann Family Fund which I think is more akin to the truth.

Hi, Zodiac.

Hi Claudia,

Its pure controversy to put such an ill advised, inappropriate and dated picture of MM with make up online. It grabs attention and they do not give a damn it it gets them in the headlines. It has clearly got up their noses that many people have told them to move on and get out of the limelight. The first impression I would get of parents choosing such a photo to publish is that they are a bit "odd" or strange, as people might get the wrong idea?? Do they have an ounce of integrity or even common sense. They deserve each other. Cannot see myself what such an old photo such as this is meant to achieve in the search other than to shock and gain attention. Bizarre.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
They certainly don't have much common sense. That is obvious to me. No one with common sense could leave three toddlers home alone.

nancy said...

Hi Joe, and nice to see you Docmac and Zodiac

They say it takes all sorts and they are some sort of parents! They have no shame at all. As long as they can keep up the cash momentum anything goes it seems.

Other families with missing children must feel hard done by as far as media coverage is concerned, but at least they know the meaning of the word discretion.

Hi Claudia and all

Now back from my holiday and also have now got connected back onto the internet.

I am not sure what has been going on because I have not had time to read much, but am I right in assuming that the McCann's put out that picture of Madeleine with makeup to mark her three year disappearance. If the answer is yes, they are beyond saving and totally mad!

Hi Claudia

I have just got up off the floor after helplessly rolling around in mirth having reading an article in the Daily Star which 'quotes' a UK geologist (from Cape Town, mind!!) as saying there is a good possibility of an earthquake in SA, and more especially around Cape Town or Durban during the World Cup. The journalist is concerned about Wayne Rooney's precious legs being exposed to a bit of land wobble.

Truth be told, there is more chance of the Drs McCann requesting a return to Portugal than a bit of earth epilepsy down here. Jeepers, next we'll be told that the stadiums will be searched for stray lions (or paedophiles - or both) before each game. Nothing for the McCanns to be afraid of then - assuming they want to take in a game in the Mother City. Oh wait, I'll be there. Perhaps the Lord of Leicestershire and his waif are better off at home after all.

Hello Claudia

This picture certainly doesn't look much like the picture that is used on all the original publicity.

Any little girl who found her mother's make-up and decided to 'try to look like mummy', would end up looking like an explosion in a paint factory.

No three year old could apply eye make up like that.

So who did it and more importantly, why?

Sorry, I still can't sort out the Google mix-up.

Can the McCanns be thinking straight?

Three years have passed since the disappearance of Madeleine McCann and her parents are determined that the search for her should not slip out of the world's headlines. To keep the story alive, they have just released a moody video, complete with a musical soundtrack, which includes a photograph of the three-year-old wearing make-up and gazing into the camera. It is that image which, predictably, has featured in the media,

It seems a bizarre and unsettling development. Clearly, Kate and Gerry McCann have been living through a nightmare of unimaginable horror and perhaps, even after three years, they are not thinking straight. If so, someone should surely have pointed out to them that, in a case over which paedophilia casts an obvious shadow, it looks downright weird when a photograph which has the effect of sexualising the missing child becomes part of the campaign to find her.

Obviously, the make-up game and the photograph were innocent at the time but, when the private picture is released into the public domain in these circumstances, something altogether nastier kicks in.

What was the point of this exercise, apart from getting more news coverage? At a time when there is justified concern over Primark selling Little Miss Naughty padded bras for eight-year-olds and allegations that Playboy brands are being aimed at the primary school market, the circulation of this can only feed prurience of the very worst kind.

Maybe it was a misjudgement, but it confirms a niggling sense that the McCanns' publicity–at-all-costs campaign has seriously lost its way.

I have a feeling there will be another 'sighting' during the World Cup in SA. Gerry would love the chance to go out for a 'jolly' with Kate holding tightly on to his itchy palm - that's if they can spare the time from Hello Magazine and all those other prearranged interviews of course.

And yes, how refreshing to see one journalist take his head from the sand to say something most of us agree with wholeheartedly.

Hi Nancy,

I cannot remember if supertroll's blog was purple or not, all I can remember is lots of weird pictures and I thought ST was a loony. We had several battles which Rosiepops jumped in on. I decided to email ST and talk privately and you may find this hard to believe but she is a very nice caring person. She, like so many of us just got sucked in to all this and went OTT. When we decided to stop all the stupidity that really upset the mouthpiece Rosie and she then attacked ST, Mum21 etc. None of them bother to read her rubbish anymore or have anything to do we her- ST feels the same way as I do, we do not agree on many things but we can agree to disagree and respect each others views. ROFL! @ above. Just wait until the South African fans start waving their vuvuzela''s. Rooney will be wobbling on his precious legs thinking it's an earthquake! The geologist could name the earthquake Lepatata!

Good to read you again Docmac.

SF interview with the McCanns @ 17.23 onwards:

http://ww1.rtp.pt/multimedia/index.php?tvprog=23840

OMG! The way they talk at the end of the interview above (jmo) it is as if they are talking about a child that has passed away. How can they talk the way they do and expect people to believe their child has been abducted and goodness knows what the child may be suffering, not just physically but emotionally. GM says the emotion is not as raw, WTF! What about their supposedly missing child. Her emotion if she is with paedophiles will be very raw! What would she think hearing them say that? How will them talking like that in the media/press help their child have any form of recovery from the situation she found herself in. If she was ever found? KM said in another interview some people will be embarrassed if M is found. Well if she ever is found alive they should be the embarrassed ones, sitting in the sun saying the emotion is not as raw and our child has been abducted! In another interview they send out a plea to M one that should have been their mantra since day one. Asking M to tell people who her mummy and daddy are. Would that little then 3 year-old now nearly 7 even remember them if she has been abducted by an organised gang of paedophiles or a lone paedophile! These past fews days imo have been more vomit inducing than usual!

I have never believed this child was abducted and I never will!

The McCanns are digging a crater sized hole for themselves with all these interviews. They emerge from each one a bit more deeper in the mire. I'm sure most of these interviewers feel in their hearts exactly the same as most of us but for fear of their jobs are not able to come right out and say exactly what they want to.

I thought the Spanish interviewer was very good and did her best to make them feel uncomfortable which is more than can be said of the interviews with the British media.

Hi Claudia and all,

News of the World tells us that Jim Gamble has recommended that Det Chief Inspector Colin Sutton, 49, of Scotland Yard who has been involved in some of the UK's biggest enquiries, handle the challenging review for the McCanns.

A police source said,

"It will delight Maddie's parents Kate and Gerry McCann. They deserve reassurance that everything that can be done has been done"

Hearing this,I'm sure those very professional private detectives they hired will have their noses put out of joint!

I doubt the McCanns will be reassured though. More likely to be sweating a bit!

Have a pleasant Sunday everyone.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy.
I read he is a top murder cop. That surely can't be right or he'll be sued! A murder means someone is dead, right? ;-)

Joe said...

Hi Claudia and Nancy,

Any investigation is still with the aim of putting them in the clear. Its total BS IMO. No investigation or review can ever be complete without a) the McCanns answering all questions put to them including the 48, and the same for their friends and b) a reconstruction of the time lines. Otherwise any review is pointless, a jigsaw with half the pieces. The alternative, which I have stated before, is to get a "top cop" to discredit the PJ and help clear the names of the McCanns with such a review and find "patsy" to take the wrap after finding missing evidence or leads, (we have been down that road several times now). What real Policeman would take on such a case knowing about the missing bits and has to come up with a glowing reference for the duo? A bent one.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
Yes, that is a sad possibility. But we never know...

nancy said...

Hi Claudia and Joe,

We'll just have to see how things pan out. And yes, he is an expert on murder which I think will make the McCann team endeavour to get their stories compatible, as he will, I'm sure, want to hear from everyone involved in that long week of festivities in PdeLuz.

Let's hope he puts justice for Madeleine first and not just try to protect those who were supposed to keep her safe from harm. This wasn't just one night out on the town and even if it was it would still be their negligence that brought about (in their words) Maddie's abduction.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy.
I think it is very hurtful and unhelpful that a murder specialist was the chosen man. ;-)

From the Express article:

"Tomorrow Madeleine’s mother Kate, 42, from Rothley, Leicestershire, will meet Prince Charles at Westminster Abbey during a service to remember young victims of violence. She will be among 1,000 guests marking the anniversary of teenager Jimmy Mizen’s murder in 2008, during a fight in a bakery shop in Lee, south-east London. The families of Damilola Taylor and Ben Kinsella will also be at the “Building a Legacy of Peace” service."

Is this an admission that M was a victim of violence? What the hell is this women playing at - jumping in on every opportunity although it has nothing to do with what she claims happened "abduction". Why does she not just butt out of the limelight and take care of the twins PROPERLY

Gina said...

I think that Spain is coming out of the doldrums. They are just about out of recession at the moment. And you are right, you would lose a lot of currency with the state of the euro against the pound at the moment.

Today I tried to do that but I had forgotten my password so I went along the procedure to get a new password. It said my new password would be sent to the email address. How the hell do they expect me to find out what it is because I cannot sign in because I have forgotten my password!! If anyone has written to me on that email address over the last few months they have no chance of a reply because I cannot access it.

They usually send the password to an alternative e-mail address they ask you for when you register. Try all your e-mail addresses and see if they sent it. That's how it usually works. I have so many passwords that I have to write them down in a small notebook or save them in a mobile phone I don't use anymore.

There are speculations and books written [on the case], but we do not know what has happened. As far as I know the parents called first the media before the police.

The case was archived because there weren't evidence [material proves], but it might be reopened.

Hi, Zodiac.
The good old times! :-)
Justice moves slowly here. It's a fact.
I'm not very optimistic about Justice for Madeleine, to be honest. But that doesn't mean I think it's impossible. Nothing is impossible. :-)
Hope you're well, my friend.

Hi all

Zodiac, how nice that you thought of me in the supermarket. I don't think I had better turn this blog into "Helpful hints", but just to remind you, you can clean the dirt off jewellery with a brush & some toothpaste. or brighten it up with a brush dipped in ammonia. You can also clean jewellery by dropping either 2 denture cleaning tablets or 2 alka seltzer in water and soaking the jewels. Silver can be cleaned using an ALUMINIUM saucepan with a heated mixture of water and salt & soaking the silver in it. It cleans the silver but badly tarnishes the saucepan, so use an old one.

Back to the plot! I'm not sure what to make of the Ambassadors comments I am still working on that one.

I too was wondering what was happening about the Amaral-McCann case and whether it was going ahead. It seems odd that there does not seem to be any mention of it anywhere as far as I can see. Also does anyone know what is happening about the Murat-Tanner case, is it still going ahead and if so when.

Sorry I have more questions than answers at this moment in time.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Gina.
We all have more questions than answers. And that's quite normal. It's those who don't have questions at all who should have their IQs checked (assuming they are high enough to be measured).
I think you may turn me into a housewife. And a good one! My mum will be forever grateful to you :-)

May 31st, Important Update: Child Rescue Alert

Last Tuesday, May 25th, was International Missing Children's Day. Disappointingly, the day didn't seem to get as much attention as it deserves, or rather, as all missing children deserve – and need!

The day was also important as the UK's new 'Child Rescue Alert' was launched. Gerry and I, along with many others, campaigned hard back in 2008 for the development of such a system within all countries across Europe, to help when a child is abducted."
___________________________________

Maybe it did not get the attention it deserved because many many people including myself are disgusted that the McCanns are considered worthy figure heads for such campaigns. Maybe their next campaign will be to change the date of Missing Children's day to 3rd May - I would be interested to know just how many of these missing children were actually abducted, and what percentage of those who were was as a direct result of being left by their parents unattended in a foreign country in an unlocked apartment. My guess would be one, Madeleine McCann the daughter of do nothing positive parents who portray themselves as doing more than anyone else. A load of bo..ocks

Gina said...

PS I meant to say "One, Madeleine .... or possible none if she was NOT abducted.

Claudia I wish I had a cleaning tip to cleanse the McCanns obession for wanting their faces in the forefront of everything they can possibly latch onto. Or a tip how to cleanse the brains of the brainwashed who can see no wrong in them whatsoever. In fact as I cannot see how this case will ever be resolved I think the best hope is that they both fall into a vat of the cleaning agent called VANISH

Hi, Gina.
I think there are no cleaning tips good enough to clean some filth. Even when they come from an expert like you!

Hi, Claudia and all.

Just back from a brief visit to England. Whilst there I, too, was wondering what had happened to the letter that was to drop onto my own mat, according to some 'reliable' information. I can only hazard a guess that, as truth is an absolute defence in a libel action, I will be waiting a lot longer yet...

Claudia, there are so many Portuguese flags flying around here that I am still not sure I have returned to the right country :-)

Cláudia said...

Hi, amigo!
Hope your visit to England went well.
Mine got lost too. I have to assume there the post office workers are bloody incompetent. ;-)
Portuguese people are everywhere. And when they show their flags, that's when you notice how many they are. :-)

docmac said...

Some incompetent people 'lose' things all the time, amiga. Like children, for example. And children are a lot bigger than envelopes.

Cláudia said...

Exactly. And unlike envelopes, some of them even complain about being left alone.

hi again Claudia and thanks for your response, I only just thought about checking again, lol!

Kate was so certain the action against Goncalo was the right thing for Madeleine, it would truly help in the search for her, erm apparently.

So I find it odd, to say the least, that months later the McCanns are so silent on the progress of this important cash grabbing action.

I mean they need to pay people like the Retardos and Halligen and sweating Eddie with his Posh Spice e-fit to find Maddie, surely they do? They need this further little one million injection of cash, what could be, that makes them so tongue tied?

Did they say to Goncalo, well will you just give us 150 quid then for a nice new frock for Kate, and how did he react to that, lol!

I think Gerry gets a bit miffied that Kate is just too sick to work and has said she needs to "fund raise" and "run like hell or the wind" if she wants nice girly things.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Viv.
Well, I think I might suspect where Gonçalo would advise Kate to shove her new frock.

viv said...

Hiya again Claudia

You know I think the McCanns have some relationship skills lacking.

Most people seem to realise that it is not appropriate to go abroad, get rid of your little girl, and then say you are going to sue the police for one million and then actually finish up doing that.

Maybe the perverted video they released of Madeleine and the public reaction to that also helps them to see the light.

Some people who have made disastrous legal claims that they subsequently deeply regret, do finish up asking for very little to just withdraw the action. Goncalo would be giving them the right response to that!

Hi, Viv.
It is my most honest opinion that the McCanns are bizarre people. Certainly not people with common, so-called normal reactions/behaviour shared by a big part of Humankind regardless of race, religion, colour, culture, etc. Why that is, I'm not sure.

Gina said...

Hi Claudia,

I totally agree, they are bizarre. No matter how hard I have tried, and believe me I have tried, I cannot relate to one single action they have taken or not taken.

If ( a big if) Madeleine were to be found tomorrow I would still not change my opinion of the McCanns and I will never forgive them for dragging so many innocent people into their publicity stunts to try and make themselves look blameless and whiter than white.

I feel a rant about them coming on, so I think I will go read my Dawn French "Dear Fatty" book instead :-)

Cláudia said...

Hi, Gina.
I understand you. Sometimes, when I read about them, I feel like throwing up.
Nice reading! :p

viv said...

Hiya both

I entirely agree they are bizarre and there is nothing in their various acts and omissions that you could relate to the behaviour of normal people.

This has never seemed to be about recovering their little girl, it has always seemed like just one big publicity stunt to make loads of cash and which way they can and protest they had nothing to do with it because, supposedly, they were not even there! No, they just conveniently left the door open or did the windows and shutters get jemmied. Whoosh!

They do not even seem to have the capacity to realise they make ordinary folk with the capacity to love and care, even for a defenceless animal let alone their own child, want to throw up.

I firmly believe that when they announced they were to sue Goncalo Amaral for one million pounds any normal people who had any lingering doubts as to their guilt or innocence finally made up their minds. As my step father put it, they were wrong from the outset to leave those children which they say they did on their own admission and now all they want to do is make loads of money, they are not fit parents, money that is all they are in it for.

But at least something seems to have shut them up currently, let us hope it is for good, unless they would like to tell us where poor little Maddie is.

Hi Claudia,

If you speak to the doc, can you ask him if he can try and get the football crowd to stop constantly blowing their "trumpets". Having to watch football night after night is painful enough for me without it sounding like it is being played in a bee hive.

Hi, Gina.
In the most recent thread, Doc has mentioned the vuvuzelas. I also agree that they can be a bit annoying and they make communication and concentration harder. At least I'm sticking to that excuse! :-)

Gina said...

Hi Claudia,

It looks like Spain were put off by the vuvuzelas last night, and England failed to beat USA because of them too I guess :-)

Maybe all the team players on the winning sides are deaf!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Gina.
Very weird things have been happening in this World Cup. I am sticking to blaming the vuvuzelas! :-)

Hi Claudia et al -

Hope you are all well and enjoying the summer.

Back from hols (strange weather but the sun shone enough to get a good tan which I hope lasts a couple of weeks. Had no landline or laptop with us, and strangely enough I didn't get cyperspace withdrawal symptoms at all! Used the mobile for urgent calls only, so had a nice long rest for what are usually every day essentials!!

Spain did well last night, although missed a few extra goals I think. Let's hope England gets it's house in order and doesn't bore us to death again!

I agree with everyone about that horn blowing - a bit like long slow torture, although apart from that the South Africans have put on a great show.

As for the McCanns, they seem to have gone underground for a while thankfully, and not a peep from Clarence mercifully!!

Lots to do but will be back when we are back to normal!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy!
Glad you had a great holiday!
When I'm on holiday, I usually check my email with my phone but a+art from that, no withdrawal symptoms. What I can't live with is my mobile phone. :-)
Spain did well yesterday. England has to get their act together. Portugal managed a draw against Ivory Coast and yesterday they won against North Korea. It was a 7-0 win!!!
May the Gods keep the McCanns and Pinko the way they are now.
