Hi everyone -

Thanks for the video Claudia.

What an arrogant so and so that McCann is. He always looks as though he he has something nasty under his nose! And he and Kate talk about Maddie as if she is someone else's child.

I hope they get their wish and the case is reopened!

I think they'd have a hard job getting their pals to attend a reconstruction after all this time though - they are such a wierd bunch of child neglectors!

I pray that the verdict backs Goncalo on Thursday. That would make my day, but can you imagine the British Media, who are already blaming the Portuguese for not following up every single lead given them. An impossible task because there are so many crackpots out there after a fast buck.

If Maddie was seen alive someone would have claimed that huge reward that has hardly been mentioned since the beginning.

He just cannot answer in truth about reopening the case, and who he wants to review the evidence. Its easy the PJ. One would think it was so so difficult to request the reopening. Who do they think they are fooling? Would normal parents not beg to have the case ongoing but not them? What does it take for people to see how bizarre they are? How much longer can this charade continue. Can Duarte not see what is going on or is she just there for the infamy?

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy.
Loved this video. He's not very good at dealing with difficult questions, is he? I understand him. He's used to the spineless British journalists so he's not used to them actually asking questions...

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
Not much longer, I hope.
As for Duarte, she's a lawyer. She's paid to do it. It's her job. if it wasn't her it would be someone else. A crappy job, certainly, bit a job nonetheless.
xxxx

nancy said...

Joe.

You are spot on. Any loving parents would have been spending all their time trying to get the police of both countries on to reopening the case, doing a reconstruction etc.

Their lawyer, Duarte, when they were being interviewed outside the Court, was giving them very strange glances, as if she was worried they would undo all her good acting abilities inside the Court! According to Blacksmith Bureau who were in Court, she was ranting and raving like a mad thing and even had a go about GA's earring, would you believe? Let's hope the Judge had her eyes opened!

I just hope and pray they don't get their wicked way next Thursday!
But we all know the law is an Ass!!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy.
In fact, it's great that their lady lawyer felt the need to use pathetic, personal arguments. It's a great sign. I'm sure the judge was impressed. ;-)

Hi Claudia and all,

Bravo! Bravo! To the brilliant Portuguese journalist who asked questions of the McCanns that should be asked. The McCanns had 8 mins and 15 secs valuable airtime in this interview and produced 0 evidence to support their abduction thesis. Hmm who was it at the start of this hearing said:

A thesis without evidience to support it is meaningless.

Hmm who was it? Oh, that's who it was G McCann and all he and his wife have to put forward to support their abduction thesis is this when the Portuguese journalist asked him:

What evidence do you have that there was an abduction? Can I ask this question because you say that Amaral doesn't have....

Kate McCann: I know. I was here. I found my daughter gone. I know more than you do. I know what I saw.

Portuguese Journalist: I'm not saying. I don't know anything. I'm just telling from a point of view where I don't know who to believe. I just want evidence like you say.

Gerry McCann: Where is the child? We are looking for that evidence. Where is the child? What other explanation can explain how she is not here?

Kate McCann: So(???) do you agree it shouldn't be be ruled out? Do you?

Portuguese Journalist: Other people have advanced other explanations. That's why we are here.

Gerry McCann: Okay. Any other questions before we go because we've got a flight to catch?

How weak and pathetic are those replies to the Portuguese journalist? Especially GM saying:

"Where is the child? We are looking for that evidence. Where is the child? What other explanation can explain how she is not here?"

Err McCanns the publicly avaialable PJ file gives a clear explanation as to why the child is not here. Err the book written (and based on the PJ file) by the first lead Invesigator into the disappearance gives a clear explanation as to why the child is not here. Also the report by Lee Rainbow is an OMG revelation!

GM says he wants a review of all the information that all the law enforcement agencies have. He says they have been busy working behind the scenes to have this happen. Hmm is that maybe why the British Police have said recently in the press that they are keeping all their info under wraps! Also does he now expect the 11,000 files (that they were only allowed 81 one of) to be released and all that info reviewed and made available to them. Thought the British courts ruled that that info was not to be revealed! Also do the McC's expect the PJ to release the files that have not been made public? Just who do they think they are to expect so much?

It worth to see :)

Joe said...

Hi Claudia and Nancy,

I too hope that they do not get their way on thursday. From what I readon twitter and other reports Duarte showed nothing to justify the current injunction let alone retaining it. I just hope that the Judge has the bottle to see that there is no merit to their case, that the injunction is against free speech and the constitution and that they have never formally asked for the case to be reopened so the fund is not actually needed at all as the real Police could do the investigating. IMO if Mr Amaral does not get the injunction lifted based on what he presented then there is no justice.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Zodiac.
It was great, wasn't it?
No matter what they say, here they will never change people's opinions, no matter how many PR companies they hire. There's nothing to be done about it. Here people will never forgive them the fact that they and their friends refused to come for the reconstruction, people will never forget that they could have asked for the case to be re-opened and didn't and they will never forget that the mother of the missing child refused to answer 48 questions that could have helped find her missing daughter.
Happy Valentine's day! :-)

Hi All,

I cannot get the video to play (to use the Docs words -bloody microsoft )

Is this what they really said

"Where is the child? We are looking for that evidence. Where is the child? What other explanation can explain how she is not here?"

They now refer to Madeleine as "the child" not our daughter, or our child, maddie or Madeleine.

What is all that crap about "We are looking for that evidence" They have never looked anywhere and there are still a lot of undisturbed geckos sleeping under loads of stones that have remained unturned.

Actually I do not expect them to physically go look themselves at this late stage, but I would have thought co-operation with the police would have been a step in the right direction, and at the very least you would think their daughter's name would just roll off their tongue whenever they spoke of her - No these parents are totally abnormal, but the sad thing is they think they are normal and what they are doing is right.

eg. do not co-operate with the police then winge the police have not done their job properly.

If these are suppose to be examples of educated Brits, thank god I am stupid and uneducated

Hi, Gina.
Unbelievable, uh? But by now we shouldn't be surprised by anything.
Those people are nor examples of educated people anywhere in this world. I would even say anywhere in this universes.

Hi all. My bold emphasis below.:

Portuguese Journalist: A reconstruction. If you volunteer to do a reconstruction wouldn't that open the case?

Gerry McCann: We want to create information that will lead us to us helping find Madeleine.

Portuguese Journalist: That will help Madeleine. Don't you think so?

Gerry McCann: Well if it does then, you know, we will participate.

All in all, it's just another slip of the tongue (with apologies to Pink Floyd).

Hi all,

http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2010/02/robert-murat-criminal-complaint-against.html

If this is true and Murat is taking Tanner to court, I believe this will open yet another can or worms for the McCanns. If Murat wins the case then it has to bring into question again, the reliability of Tanner's statements which therefore is yet another good reason to reopen the case.

I wonder if JT will be able to dip into the fund to pay for this!

I wonder if Murat's lawyer will point out the striking likeness between Murat and Payne.

Now Tapas members are coming into the spotlight, I wonder if it will make a difference and someone will break this "into our friends" "pact of silence" rubbish and tell the truth. Even if there was an abductor I am convinced they never checked as often as they said they did, and they are hiding something albeit not necessarily to do with M's disappearance.

Will there every be an end to this self made McCann saga?

I hope Goncalo uses his right to take this to the European Court next.

Cláudia said...

Hi, guys.
Sorry for not answering each one individually but I'm just home for lunch and will have to go to work again.

I would just like to remember that whatever today's decision was, it wouldn't be the final decision because both parties had already announced they were going to appeal if the decision didn't go their way. The truth is there is no final decision until we reach the last instance in Courts and I suspect it will be the ECHR, which can take a very long time.

Going to the doctor after work as I have a horrible cough and a low but stubborn fever. Hey, Doc, where are you when I need you?

Joe said...

Hi All,

terrible decision but no more than we have come to expect. I fear the real truth will never come out. What a pathetic Judge, he decision was made before the hearing IMO. PT has gone back to the dark ages re justice. The Mcs are already crowing as they are protected forever by the UK and PT. Its an appalling decision and a sham of a hearing. Mr. Amaral et al will just have to fight dirty and leak info as he they will NEVER win in court when the Justice system stinks. A sad sad day for liberty and freedom of speech in PT and that Judge should be ashamed for not having the courage to do the right thing.

nancy said...

Hi Gina and Joe,

After today's decision to allow GA's book to stay banned in Portugal, I doubt Murat will win over Tanner as this lot seem to have an armoured division of guardian angels!

However, with every press conference (they have one planned for tomorrow) I think more people will begin to doubt they are credible.

And how come the media in the UK are still seen to be boot licking the McCanns when they would be the first to complain if their freedom to print whatever trash they liked was banned. Hypocrites the lot of them!

I think Goncalo has plenty of aces up his sleeve yet though!

Claudia - get well soon dear.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe and Nancy.
I understand what you mean. But I can't say I'm surprised. Not because I agree with the judge's decision, of course) but because I think it was predictable because of the main action. I would love to read the judge's decision and hope it will be made public as I think it can explain some aspects.
Having said that, I never thought that today's decision would be very significant as I knew both parties would appeal if things didn't go their way. And when a party appeals it's a bit like starting all over again as the decision can be easily overturned. I think this will take a very, very long time.

Hi Claudia and Nancy,

I agree Nancy re Murat. It is FACT that the 3 witches pointed Murat out as the guy who did it, and tried to frame him subsequently into the bargain. It was printed in all the tabloid scum papers, no doubt about it. When it comes to the court case will Tanner be found to be guilty? Absolutely not. Murat may even lose as the facts do not matter it appears in PT courts, at least for this lot. Why are they being protected? A big loan to PT to ease its financial deficit?

Claudia, yes I agree to a point in what you say the bigger picture, but that is not the way the Mcs see it but as a victory. Why did Mr. Amaral appeal then with all those witnesses if it was foregone conclusion and not just wait for the main libel trial? The credibility of the PJ and their evidence and himself may be irrevocably damaged in the public eye. The decision behind the ruling may reveal something but I doubt it. We are all forced to accept what they get away with as perfectly okay when most of us would not get away with a thousandth of their antics. Its a travesty and defies logic and common sense, let alone natural justice. Please excuse the rant

zodiaczephyr said...

Hi Claudia and all.

Claudia having read your February 18, 2010 8:22 PM post I feel more comfortable with the decision.

Just read this on Joana's:

McCann Case: Expat is to sue Tapas Bar Friends

http://joana-morais.blogspot.com/2010/02/mccann-case-expat-is-to-sue-tapas-bar.html#comment-form

http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/159124/Expat-is-to-sue-tapas-bar-friends

Given Mr Murat has already sued the British press then I do not think there will be one wrong word written about him. Don't think Mr Murat will need injunctions or super injunctions!

Hmm now the Tapas lot donated their payout to the Family Company. Will the Family Company be paying their legal fees? Also if Mr Murat is successful. Will the DE be demanding back the money they paid to the Tapas? Interesting times ahead!

Hi everyone - great to see some of the old faces on here!

I know I had my differences with Viv in the past as we had differing views on the Tony Bennett affair and the role of the Leicester Police, but if she has been made to take down her blog then that is just another bit of proof that the McCanns are feeling the heat.

Viv put her everything into getting justice for Madeleine and I respect her very much for that.

nancy said...

Kate wore her desperate housewife look at the press conference. So different from how she appeared at the recent celebrity bash. Gerry looked his usual pugnacious self!

Good luck with Goncalo's appeal against that unbelievably unfair decision in Court the other day.

It makes a mockery of free speech and democracy and does nothing to help find Madeleine, which is what it's supposed to be about.

If they'd wanted to, the McCanns could have asked for the case to be reopened a long time ago.

Bit like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted!

I think Jane Tanner being sued now by Murat will have the McCann clan diving for cover.

And the next media appearance will be..........?

Hi, Hope. Well thank you. Hopefully the same for you and Mr. Hope. Is that right about Viv?

Hi, Hope.
I believe Viv wouldn't lie to the people who asked her why and as far as I'm concerned she decided to do it. I know the reasons she gave her readers and although I don't think she is correct in her assumptions (but I wish she was), I respect them because it's her blog and her decision.
I don't feel like I have to help them at all. The Portuguese people clearly doesn't feel that. The Portuguese people already helped them when they were too busy to look for their daughter. If they refuse to answer questions and participate in a reconstruction to help find the daughter they lost, they no one else has any obligation of helping them. I don't think there is anything to be done for Madeleine now except to find the truth and I want her parents to get lost, basically.
Hope you're ok, Hope.

I too wish they would get lost and their sanctimonious smug faces. They are blaming everyone but themselves. In The Mail " barely holding their heads above water" means give us more money, and "the Portuguese are too proud to order a review". Absolute lie. Blow it out of you ar*e McCann, because that is where you do most of your talking. IMO he knows that Madeline will never be found, so no proof ever, and they can say what they like ie in their requests in the media today to get Interpol, the UK Government, UK Police etc to help is all bluff. No mention tough of requesting the PJ process be reopened( even though Duarte speaks of it, poor soul she probably believes them. Better not let Mccann hear you saying process and not review).

Opening the case would make them suspects again and undo all their manipulations, cannot have that now can we? They are as transparent as a pane of glass. How do they keep straight faces at the news conferences? He must fall about laughing after, thinking how clever he is? Pinky is used on occasion to try to give the moment a bit of gravitas, with his recent hair style he is a joke the vain little man, just look at the hair on Joana's blog.

Well, well, well - so the next media appearancce was an interview with David Cameron, something that confirms that which I wrote on Joana Morais the other day, namely that the McCanns, knowing the election is probably in the bag for the Tories, have rubbed shoulders with him. Maybe Gerry is looking for a post in his cabinet now they feel the Labour lot are not helping enough to find Madeleine. And, of course, the Tories are much more up market for the McCanns now they are so famous!

How many people are able to have an interview with a leader, whatever the party, because they feel they have been hard done by! It makes the blood boil!

Hi Claudia,
I am disappointed in the decision to uphold the ban and fed up of seeing the Mccanns painted as vicims by the press, instead of parents who sadly failed to look after their children and who failed to answer questions and attend a reconstruction to help the Portuguese Police solve the mystery of ther disappearance. Instead they are continually quoted in the press as stating the police have done nothing not followed up leads etc. I cannot understand why no journalist is asking why did they fail to assist police and why did Kate refuse to answer any questions re her daughters disappearance, it proves to me there has been a massive cover up by both Governments andit is highly unlikely that the Mccanns will ever be charged with anything.I hope that Mr Amaral wins his fight to have his book published freely and that the case is reopened and justice eventually accomplished. I agree its a shame Viv has taken down her blog as she has had it running for so long, I didn't agree with her that Leicester police were still working on the case I feel that they were instrumental in covering up on behalf of our Government, but her blog was interesting and she and everyone posting on it had the same aim to see justice for Madeleine so its a pity she has closed it down for whatever reason, I know I don't post alot but do stop by and read your blog Claudia, its nice to see all the old faces from the De from the past still posting. It's Viv's right. I have to confess that I have also thought about closing this blog many times before especially because it consumes quite some time. The only reason I haven't is because Madeleine McCann is still missing and because some people would like that to happen and tend to do exactly the opposite to what some people would like. :-)

Blogs are time consuming, especially if you work and have other things to do.
I don't think Viv would post here regularly as I (and probably all the people who post here) have vary different opinions on certain matters which is why we stopped posting on her blog in the first place. Moreover, I assume that if Viv closed her blog down then she mustn't feel like commenting about this case much, or her decision wouldn't make much sense.

Joe said...

Hi Claudia and all,

I am disappointed that Viv has chosen to close her blog, but it is her prerogative and I am grateful to her for allowing me to post in the past. I wish her all the best.

I too disagreed with Viv many a time re the LP and an ongoing investigation. This I fear is not the case for whatever reasons. There is a lot to be answered by the LP re their close involvement with the McCanns, taking months and months to send info to the PJ, some info never sent etc. It did not ad up for a so called diligent impartial Police force. The Mcs go around with impunity so there appears to be systematic support for them and now getting a meeting with Cameron because Brown is probably no longer useful. It all stinks and the British Police involved with this should hold their heads in shame. If it was a case of income tax fraud the Police would have been all over it.

Hi Claudia,

I think Gerry has very big ideas to get to the top; remember how he was very quickly off to the States posing outside the White House, and then they couldn't wait to pose with the Pope! All that when they should have been looking for Madleine. I wonder if CM will persuade him to call on them on his forthcoming visit to the UK. Fat chance, I would think!

It beggars belief that this couple and their pals have so many stepping stones to assist in their subterfuge and seem able to get an audience with whomever they want. It's not what you know, but who you know in their case.

Still, as they say, it's not over till the fat lady sings!! I'm sure we are in for a few more surprises yet, especially if Goncalo goes to the European Courts with his case.

Nice to see everyone posting on here, including Docmac, Gina, Joe, Lizzie, Hope, Zodiac, Mandarinn, etc.

Hopefully those who used to post on Viv's blog will visit us here. I always feel there is no pressure on your blog Claudia. It's very relaxing!

Hiya guys and just wanted to confirm I was not forced to close my blog, the main reason is my concern about interfering in the cause of justice in UK that was always something I talked about and for me Kate and Gerry just confirmed it.

They have demonstrated themselves to be a couple who are not just at loggerheads with one policeman, Goncalo Amaral, but with both British and Portuguese Police who simply will not accept their bizarre stranger abduction claims. As Doc has pointed out Gerry wants to "create" evidence to convince them otherwise. Nothing changes, Gerry said he wanted to "control" the investigation in Portugal in the very early stages.

To me this couple now present as broken and highly anxious, not the victorious pair who are vindicated and will get massive damages.

I too find it sickening that Gerry talks about well where is the child, he cannot even use her name. British and Portuguese Police act correctly and are not going to accept anything at all that they know full well comes from the two people who can say what happened to Madeleine.

And as for not wanting to answer the questions, how about this, I think a brilliant question from the Pt reporter, that Gerry just refused to answer, he had to dash for his plane, but still wanted other questions, that of course focus on what the control freak wants people to focus on:

Hi all,

Nancy said: To end this, I just want to say how sorry I was to hear about the terrble landslides due heavy rain in Madeira and my sympathy to all the victims and their families.

I feel the same too, Nancy. Such a pretty island which depends on its tourist trade. I sincerely hope their businesses will not be ruined because of this disaster and they get all the help and support they need to clear up the terrible mess.

I have lost the plot with the McCanns motives now - They ask everyone for help, talk about they want a review of the case, complain about both police forces etc etc etc. Have they actually said "We insist on having the case re-opened, we want to answer any outstanding questions, we are prepared to take a lie detector test and take part in a police reconstruction. IMO this is all they have to do and I cannot understand why they do not do it.
Not over till the fat lady sings!! I don't care if the singer is fat or thin I just wish someone would sing and put an end to this once and for all

Hi Claudia and all.

The Britain in the article below is the same Britain that has to demand a review of the MBM case because her parents demand the British Govt demand this! The same parents who can request that the case be re-opened. These parents only need to agree to take part in a reconstruction or the mother can answer her 48 unanswered questions and then the right people will be investigating the disappearance of their child. Looks like they have no intention of ever doing this yet they expect cash strapped Britain to demand and fund a round in circles review! Hope someone makes it clear to the McCs they can demand all they want but Britain cannot demand the country who have primacy in this investigation to do anything.

Does anyone remember Psychopops xenophobic ranting that Portugal should be kicked out of the EU?

The whole article is too long to post here. It is worth a read. The future does not look good for Britian!

Hi Claudia, and Viv good to see your post.

McCann appears to thrive on publicity. His gung ho attitude is like someone on the brink all or nothing to lose. He no doubt has political ambitions now of some sort, he thinks that he is power broker or more powerful than he thinks. Forget it as he does not have the voice or any charisma. Of course he wants a review so that any gleaned facts can be manipulated or deleted at the very least discredit any of the findings of the PJ. He and her are a diplomats nightmare.

Gina said...

Hi Claudia,

You are right, hell is likely to freeze over before they do what I said. It is because they have never done this I still doubt their motives, and I am sure I am not the only one. No one can say how any of us would react in the same situation, but co-operating with the police would be the top priority for most IMO

Hi Viv,
I do not want to get into a fight with you as I am totally done with arguing with people over this case, because the M's are just not worth it. So if you do not like what I am about to say just ignore me please.

You said "I was not forced to close my blog, the main reason is my concern about interfering in the cause of justice in UK"

Do you honestly think that anyone in authority would be influenced by any comments on any blog either pro or anti. The blogs in the early days gave an opportunity for all to voice their opinions and we all know that that lead to blog wars and personal abuse. I will be the first to admit I upset both pros and antis alike because I would not come down off the fence until such time as there was real evidence to prove guilt one way or another and I disliked people stating as fact their own theories. I am glad there was a divide in some ways because both sides, when not going over the top, made valid points worth consideration. But at the end of the day I do not think that anyone was ahead of the police in their thinking, the only difference is the police have to have enough evidence to charge someone, and they did not have it. IMO no evidence of an abductor to speak of, and not enough evidence that M died in the apartment.

I think most of us, although still posting know how pointless it all is to go over the same old stuff. I am glad we have Portuguese sites who report articles that would not be allowed to be seen in the UK and I am pleased if that information filters through so that people can see things from both sides.

I might as well take this opportunity to confess that I was totally sucked in, in the beginning by Rosiepops, although I did not agree with a lot she said I believed her to be sincere. However due to things I have since found out I now know she is just a trouble making control freak, who uses the J4 site to slander and spit venom at anyone she takes a disliking too and infact is doing exactly what she criticises others of doing. I would like to say to anyone I offended during my period of insanity posting on that disgusting site, sorry x

Kate and Gerry now suggest via their lawyer, who they seem to be somewhat in conflict with that they want the case re-opening in Portugal. Of course if Maddie had been abducted by a stranger in Portugal only Portugal could deal with that. Maybe they are somewhat in conflict with their lawyer because she would quite naturally advise them, well if you are innocent and some stranger took Maddie you must fully co-operate witht the PJ by answering all questions that will demonstrate your innocence and also attending the reconstruction with your friends so that the PJ can pinpoint the moment Maddie was removed and properly investigate this. But of course, Kate and Gerry want the case re-opened in Portugal on their own terms, they have always sought to dictate to the police. They simply cannot have it both ways and if they actually were innocent would have no problem in co-operating with the police.

They also ask for a review by British Police. There can be no doubt British authorities have also spent countless millions investigating this case and there is a vast amount of evidence the McCanns are not allowed to see. That is standard procedure in any case where the person demanding the details is confirmed to be a suspect by that evidence.

What Kate and Gerry are effectively continuing to demand is that both Pt and British Police ignore the vast amount of evidence that confirms their guilt in the disappearance of Madeleine and start looking at the most incredible evidence they rely upon to point to strangers. They even demand to speak to politicians in some vain hope this will happen just as they demand.

This is a couple who need to learn one thing, the police know they are responsible and they do not take demands from criminal suspects. Money means nothing at all to the police. Kate and Gerry can collect just as much as they like and talk to just as many politicians as they like. The police, both sides of the water still know the truth. It is just that they still have insufficient evidence to prosecute them. But that day will come and Kate and Gerry amassing huge sums of money and then passing it off to criminals such as M3 and Halligen only made their situation much worse than it is. It is stalemate for them, their cash is actually running dry and I cannot see any Portuguese court awarding these two the sort of massive sums in damages they feel they need to continue their hapless plight to defend themselves. Their conduct from day one has been completely indefensible.

Viv -

Thanks for confirming you were not whoosh clunked! Your blog will be missed by many I'm sure.
---------------------------------

I think the McCanns are crying wolf far too often and before long there will be nobody interested in listening to their shallow statements.

Do they really feel that right thinking people believe every utterance that comes out of their repetitive mouths.

What we all know is they have been organising events in advance since day 1, when Maddie could have turned up the very day after she disappeared.

No parents would start out on such a media fuelled response so quickly and with such fervour and have kept it up for almost two years.

The clock is ticking!

hope4truth said...

Hello All

Well I think maybe time is running out for this pathetic pair and time is the reason....

Any normal member of the public will now be listening to the pair of them asking for reviews and investigations. Hear them talk about that girl and how no one helped them and they have had to do everything themelves and they have no leads although they do still belive after 3 years in a peado hell hole she has not come to any harm and it will ring alarm bells that went off for most of us nearly 3 years ago....

All Kate has to do is answer 48 questions and get her dreadful friends to do a reconstruction and it would reopen the case but they wont do it...

So we are back to time 3 years and they have spent a fund of millions and admit they know nothing and have shown us so many varied images of Maddie we dont know what she would look like even the age enhanced picture was redone in black and white just to confuse people futher would anyone know who they are looking for now???

If Maddie had been abducted they have played a very cruel game with her life wasting time from day one trying to make themsleves look like the victims and dismissing the child they neglected as a marketing tool...

They have left her to rot while touring the world and diverting attention now if I belive she was abducted I also belive they must be evil beyond words to spend her fund and make sure no one will ever find her and if she is in a peado hell hole they are cruel beyond words....

If she died and they are covering it up at lest she will never suffer again but if they are telling a distorted truth then their souls must be as black as tar to allow this charade to go on..

The public are waking up and the comments are not good...

Not a lot of new on this case at the moment, but no doubt the McCann team are thinking up something to interest us all on 3rd May, the third complete year since Maddie disappeared.

Disappeared seems to be the word acceptable to everyone now. Of course those involved in her disappearance know she didn't do just that!

Have a good day everyone!

nancy said...

I've just been reading on McCann Files (thanks again to Nigel for all his unmissable input in this case).

This is about the PCC furore, where a group of MP's have been attacking the PCC for not coming forward earlier to try to prevent the McCann publicity in the media.

" Baroness Buscome defends the PCC's failure to hold an enquiry into the McCann coverage. She said the PCC had been constrained to act because the McCann family had not made a formal complaint to them about the media coverage.

Instead the McCanns brought a legal action against Express Newspapers that resulted in a £550,000 payout from them! "
--------------------------------

So it seems the McCann's priorities at that time were not in keeping the media quiet, but waiting until enough time had elapsed and defamatory words had been printed before going in for the kill. Namely the huge payout.

A bit of deja vu occurs when they used exactly the same tactics with Goncalo Amaral.

In other words, like any predator, wait for the right time to go in for the kill!

I just read that if/when the McCanns get the money some will go to continue the search and they are awarding themselves and the twins a very sizeable sum as because they have been distressed by the publicity the book has caused etc.

I wonder what they intend to do with their share of the money. Maybe they should take a VERY long holiday away from it all and PAY A BABYSITTER this time. There are some things money cannot buy but they have not realised that yet - It is time these two hamsters learned how to jump off the wheel.

I still think with regard to the MBM case that the UK press have no backbone. If the press/media are gagged about certain things then the McC's should not be getting any press/media time to peddle their propaganda imo. A publicly available case file had no mention in the UK until Dr G A's hearing in 2010. That is scandalous imo!

Hi everyone,

I suppose you have seen the new sighting frenzy in the gutter  UK tabloids? Its gone into overdrive again and all ignored by the PJ. Well they can't blame Mr. Amaral this time, but then again how many times will the former disgraced cop be mentioned? So much for the bleatings of the recent press complaints commission, all for nothing with the likes of the rabid, xenophobic Star, Mail, Telegraph out to create havoc. If I did not know better I would believe that these rags have an agenda to discredit the PJ this time with Mr.Paiva as a target and others in the PJ who will be witnesses in the libel trial.

How can the PJ hierarchy stand by and let this lot just print lies and spin? Try getting a file from the likes of the LP. Such a file would have been destroyed by the LP rather than it was released. Nobody is going to fall for this BS, been there done that but it will all help to win the libel case and that cool million. The lowest of the low is what the PJ are dealng with no hedlp from their own Politicians or Judiciary. What is going on in PT? I am baffled? Have the PJ gone into meltdown?

nancy said...

Hi Claudia,

As far back as I can remember the UK has been a multi cultural society. I worked in London all my life and I think it's what makes it the great capital it is. We not only have great pub grub, we can buy food we want from all over the world! The majority of right thinking people get on very well together, but unfortunately there will always be bigots.

----------------------------------

So a host of new sightings have reared their heads and the McCanns are once again devastated by the news!

As if anyone who had taken the most famous little girl in the world would actually be taking her out and about in public to supermarkets, garages, etc., in fact anywhere she would be immediately recognised.

The media are idiots if they think the majority of people are taken in by their over the top pro McCann publicity.

Where will it all end I wonder?

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
Yes, I'm aware of it but to be honest I haven't read it in depth as I do not wish to give it the importance it doesn't have.
here it hasn't been exactly news apart from some online references.
As for the PJ not reacting, why would they? It's not the kind of thing we are used to here. We are used to Police Forces investigating not entering media wars. Not that deep inside I wouldn't wish they would, but I know that is not what they are about. And to be honest, if they started to, then they would have to go back almost 3 years and start denying thi8ngs said at that time. Just not worth it!

The irony of all this is that the PJ are probably spot on with their thesis and conclusion. The longer this disgraceful and disgusting circus goes on the more apparent it is. It never seems to occur to the British media that the PJ have got it absolutely right, so rather than reverse or at least print balanced articles they carry on with absolute lies so as not to be shown up as having got it completely wrong. Truth and honesty are rare commodities these days.

Hi everyone -

Joe -

Yes, and the sad thing is, many people who don't have time to blog or don't care to, believe every word these excuse for newspapers print!

I see that Robert Murat has written about the persecution of himself and his family by the Tapas 9 and the media, both here and in Portugal. If he is entirely innocent in all this, then it beggars belief what he has had to put up with.

I would like to know if he has ever been asked if he knew the Tapas 9 before their holiday in PdeL. McCann wouldn't comment of course, be maybe that was on purpose to make people suspicious of Robert.

I have a feeling Tanner will be saving her pennies very hard to pay the likes of Carter Ruck or whoever, to help her out with yet another of her versions of events that night.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy.
My question is: will it be one of the old versions or a new one? :-)
Of course I can be wrong, but I've always thought that Murat had nothing to do with this whole sorry mess and was destined to be 'framed'. Why do I think that? Because only people connected with the McCanns said they saw him that night. People who knew Robert Murat all his life said they never saw him on that night so I know who I tend to believe.
Have a nice weekend.
xxxx

Joe said...

Hi Nancy and Claudia,

I am not sure about Mr.Murat at all with regards his relationship with the Tapas lot. I suspect they all knew each other before the fateful night. In what capacity I do not know. I suspect big money will be found to settle with Mr.Murat, if it is goes to court. The Tanner liar's mouth would have to be bought to keep it shut. I am not sure if Murat wants official vindication or money or both. I doubt he will get both. I also think he knows a lot more about this group prior to the night as well. It will be interesting to see if he spills anything. I cannot understand why he gets death threats and from who? The McCanns have a lot to answer for, which I. fear they never will

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
I think he has nothing to do with it.
Why? Because the Tapas tried to say he was the 'abductor' but not one of the locals who saw him grow up saw him that night.
As for Gerry not answering when asked if he knew Murat or not, I think that's a great way to create suspicions...

Another 'personal appearance' for that shining example of motherhood Kate McCann. She will appear on next Sunday's religious programme (Mothers Day here in the UK) to say her piece about her feelings over losing Madeleine.

I hope, she will admit her and Gerry's and her pals' gross neglect with their children on six consecutive nights, and ask parents to please not to make the same 'silly mistake' they did!

Another nice fat fee in their Fund, and it's us the licence payers who will foot the bill. Still we've come to expect this sort of thing from the BBC nowadays. They think more of the perpetrators of crime than the victims. Very politically correct of course!

Is there no end to the McCann's self promotion?

As they say in Spain, Sin Verguenza, meaning 'Without Shame' and that says it all!

Hi All,

I think I have been living in Spain for too long and have lost my understanding of English, this is a newspaper headline

"Home Office launches secret review into Madeleine McCann's disappearance Telegraph"

I thought secret meant you kept the information to yourself, so I cannot see how this is a SECRET review now we all know it is taking place.

Nancy it looks as if the McCanns are now changing British tradition too. On Mother's day we remember and give thanks to our Mother's, we do not need a "Mother" using it for the poor old me act again.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Gina.
Glad you also find it strange.

If the Home Office is conducting a secret review based on what? It would be amazing to see what the HO came up with if it were true? What, go against all the established facts, the dogs, the total lack of co-operation, lies and more lies and in the end the duo not suspects. What evidence exists points to them even after all this time. So I would love to see what conclusion any review would come to other than what exists. The Telegraph used to be a factual paper, albeit right wing, whatever happened to it. It reminds me of the time when Thatcher and Lamont openly and publicly backed Pinochet and turned a blind eye to all the atrocities he was involved with in Chile.

Hi everyone -

The tabloids are all carrying the news that Kate is running for missing people/children.

These are the same tabloids who have been consistently stating that poor Kate is very frail and on the brink of collapse!

She must have made an amazing recovery!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy.
Kate is very good at running, didn't you know? :-)

Joe said...

All that running shows that she is really depressed and added to their hilarious interview with SF should help them win the case against Mr.Amaral for damages to her/their health such as depression and other problems all associated with his book. take note Mr.Amaral, a depressed person does not run 10 miles or appear on numerous interviews.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
I feel so sorry for them...
xxxx

nancy said...

Hi Claudia and Joe

Yes, their running around PdeL immediately poor Maddie went missing said it all! What normal parents would be doing that rather than combing the streets and knocking at every door!

Frail Kate will be back again when next she gives one of her interminable interviews with Gerry. Still it's all money in the bank for them. They should surely have enough for a huge reward offer by now!

I think those Portuguese lovelies know very well the big secret being hidden; that can be easily seen by their expressions and they at least ask the nearest questions I've heard from any media person that hit the spot!

Gerry's face said it all!!

Gina said...

Hi All, please stop being so cruel to Kate. The latest pictures of her, show that she is frail and weak, but nevertheless she will muster the energy to run for the cause. (she has never shown any interest in doing this sort of thing before M went missing, but that's another story)

In Christianity, martyrs are considered to follow the example of Jesus in offering up their lives as a sacrifice to bring about the Kingdom of Heaven. The first Christian martyr was Saint Stephen, and the latest one hoping to be crowned is Kate McCann.

Good luck with your run Kate, I hope you do not trip over one of the stones that you have left unturned.

Hi all,

Kate's level of devoutness showed on the Radio this morning when she said she could forgive those who took Madeleine, but she said not a word about forgiving Goncalo Amaral for writing a book that in their opinion might hinder the search for her!

Such hypocrisy in one so devout!

Now she has her foot in the door of the BBC (they have friends there of course) she may get her own slot somewhere giving her professional advice on how to keep children safe!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy!
What a great idea! She could teach parents how to care for their children so they are safe at all times...
xxxx

Joe said...

Hi Claudia and Nancy,

I am not surprised she is devout, as somebody sure saved their bacon and now they are on the pigs back as they say in this country.

She clearly has got over any angst she may have had. Doctors of course have that ability to put tragedy behind them and all the patients they lose through mistakes or whatever. You may well be right Nancy a job offer of some sort from cronies at the BBC. As I have said ad nauseum, anybody with half a brain can see its all BS, and the proverbial elephant in the corner. Its their political patronage that has prevented the hard nosed coppers from closing in and no doubt to the annoyance of those patrons the 2 grifters have exploited the situation to keep up the pretence and get rich. It makes a mockery of real christian ideals and real mothers and families. At the very least her/their negligence of their children. Well done BBC.

Hi Gina

Your post on the 13th: well said! Brightened my day and put a smila on my dial, it did.

Gina said...

Hi all,

I doubt if I will be around for a while, and I also doubt that when I return anything will have changed.

I have over the last few days tried to understand why the McCanns are the way they are. I have tried to reach an understanding of why they do what they do (and don't do other things), and I can confirmed that I have failed miserably. I have considered both scenarios (they were involved or M was abducted) and their behaviour to both just does not add up to me.

For example if they were involved and created a media circus in order to divert attention why have they allowed it to go on for so long, why have they given so many interviews in which most of us who watch them closely have noticed how they have changed their story from time to time, or get touchy when certain questions are asked. This has therefore made us even more suspicious.

If M was abducted why did they not co-operate fully with the police (irrespective of whether they were made arguidos or not)for their childs sake. Why did they not DEMAND long ago that the case remained open and ongoing.

The only conclusion I have reached is that they are riddled with guilt for either leaving the kids or worse but they have no ability to admit to it. They still endeavour to make feeble excuses and blame everybody and anybody other than themselves. I also feel they now consider themselves celebrities and enjoy that status. They have changed their tactics and are now mentioning the pain others must feel and are trying to make it look as if they give a damn by running for the cause of others too. I do not buy it. They had to have pole position on the starting grid, why, they were not the only runners.

I also do not believe Kate is a devout catholic it is just another despicable publicity stunt. A devout catholic would not have had IVF treatment IMO. And why was it necessary for the twins to present mother's day flowers in the church. Why does a simple thing like that have to be turned into yet another publicity stunt.
Kate is completely off her rocker IMO, with some of the ridicious statements she makes. Now she is saying God is keeping Madeleine safe, oh please! I am not religious but if I was, I would not be expecting God to do for me what I never did for myself, keep my kids safe & I would not even consider that even God considers a child being with a paedo to be safe.

I fully expect the BBC to give her her own show. She can be the "Agony aunt" giving advice on how to deal with things if people find themselves in the same position as her. My advice to those calling in would be, listen very carefully to her advice and then do exactly the opposite!!!

Gina said...

BTW I forgot to say: Yesterday (Mothers Day) 5,000 bikers, as a mark of respect to the Mums of young soldiers killed in Iraq/Afganistan, drove through the streets of Wooton Basset (the town where the soldiers coffins come back to) they did not choose to drive through Rothley. Surely the BBC could have chosen a soldiers mum to speak instead of Kate McCann. The programme would then have been a valid, meaningful tribute which would have given comfort to many, instead of the farse it was.

I have finished ranting now!

Cláudia said...

Hi, amigo!

Hi Claudia,

Just to say re the issue of Krocodile Kate and her devoutness, a truly devout person would come clean and tell all, as that is part of the christian ethos to cleanse the soul. At least that is what the Catholics are taught. Perhaps hers is a new brand of devoutness, to herself?

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
Many people say they are devout only when it suits them. That is why I can't consider myself devout although I was baptised and raised as a Catholic. However, I disagree with the Roman Catholic church on many things: I don't think IVF is a sin, I don't think birth control methods are a sin, I don't think pre-marital sex is a sin, I don't think divorce is a sin (as far as I'm concerned it's a right) and I certainly don't think homosexuality is a sin (I believe everyone has he right to be happy no matter what their sexual orientation is). I tend to think there is a God, a superior being who cares for all of us, but I think religions are human creations. And I don't believe in a God who judges people so severely.
And if there is one, I don't think he would like people to use His name for PR reasons.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Viv.
I think that there's been a mistake. It was not the conviction. That is still being dealt with as Mr Amaral appealed. What happened is that the complaint by the child murderer partner, Leandro, has been dismissed by the judge and won't even reach court. And this is an official information as I have just confirmed it with Mr Amaral himself.
Anyway, a sad day for Poopsy and her psychic lawyer friend. Oh well...

I wish Goncalo a further great success in his appeal against what is without doubt a very unjust conviction and one that does not reflect well on Portuguese Justice.

This from The Star....

THE police team who found hoax kidnap victim Shannon Matthews are to probe Madeleine McCann’s disappearance.

West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team (HMET) will study Portuguese police files.

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/posts/view/126788/Shannon-Matthews-cops-drafted-in-to-search-for-Maddie/

Madeleine’s doctor parents Kate and Gerry, both 41, are said to be “delighted’’ at the move. It follows a meeting with Home Secretary Alan Johnson at which they begged him to relaunch the official search for their daughter.
====================================
Begged what a joke. At any time in the last 3 years they could have asked any UK Police to search in tandem with the PJ. Who do they think they are fooling? Will this new outfit ignore the facts and the dogs. Some sort of whitewash is afoot, where they come up whiter than white. An absolute disgrace and still no request to reopen the case. I cannot believe that the Police go along with them unless its unless they are party to all this?

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
To be honest, I think it is good news. Especially because the team have experience with a the hoax kidnap of Shannon. :-)
xxxx

Joe said...

Hi Cluadia,

The British are very fond of limited remits in any inquiries. So it will be very interesting to see ( if we do at all ) what remit the investigation will be under. Will it involve the co-operation of the PJ and will the S. Yorks Police do anything if they come to the same conclusions as the PJ???. I cannot believe the McCanns would be happy about this unless its to produce report to exonerate them at least in the UK. It just does not fit that it will be an honest all facts on the table inquiry. Sorry to be so pessimistic( its the part where they begged for the review that bugs me, I smell another big rat).

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
if you ask me, it's all smoke and mirrors and nothing whatsoever will come out of it. Of course I'd like to be wrong and would like the truth, whatever it is, to come out. But I seriously doubt it.
Another thing I think this proves is that apparently there is no current investigation by the British Police or this wouldn't be happening if there was an ongoing investigation.

Hi Claudia & all

Cláudia said...

Joe said...

Claudia,

Absolutely spot on, if there was an ongoing investigation then no way would any other inquiry be allowed to interfere. So if anything its even more reason to be cynical. It is unbelievable to me that in her own right MM a British citizen, with rights, does not warrant any investigation in the UK in the 3 years since she disappeared??

Will the S.Yorks police be asking for the time lines to be acted out or the 48 questions that KM refused to answer. The lack of clarity with these issues will surely hinder any investigation. Its all lip service and no doubt to cast doubt on the findings of the PJ.... maybe even to give the McCanns some ammunition to sue the PJ and the Portuguese state on the back of a positive review for them? The PJ better batten the hatches down as the second finest Police force after the LP are about to do the McCanns bidding.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
I think nothing will come of it. Sadly.
But I also don't think they will sue the PJ or the Portuguese state. The bigger the enemy, the riskier.

Hi Claudia and all

I just wanted to say I think Mitchell just took us on another little ride, using The Daily Star and four little provincial newspapers in Yorkshire, (proper press would not touch it with the proverbial) copy post I put on Jo Morais:

The McCanns are clearly getting very desperate, so I am wondering what kind of chill pills they are using, can they still afford the expensive snow that helped them put a smile on in PDL after their terrible "loss" !*?
-----------
I am now quite convinced that this idea of W Yorks looking for Maddie is nothing more than McCann spin to further discredit both the PJ and Leicester Police because Gerry is not fond of either. We have just one comment from the Home Office, in a very reputable paper The Daily Telegraph and it says this:

“A Home Office spokesman said: ‘We can confirm that the Home Secretary had a private meeting with Kate and Gerry McCann. Leicestershire Police stand ready to co-ordinate and complete enquiries if further information comes to light in the UK; or if requested to do so by the Portuguese authorities, who continue to lead on the overall investigation’.”

In short those four reports in the Yorkshire press were put there by Clarence Mitchell and are pure rubbish!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Viv.
Maybe so. But I'll believe it when I some an official denial from the British Police.
But to be honest, I think this group may be the right one. After all they have experience with the hoax kidnap of Shannon Mathews.
xxxx

Joe said...

Hi Claudia,

I too will believe it when I see it. Just because its not in the scum tabloids means nothing as we know Mitchell controls much of the input into the re the duo. If such a review is real it will be done at the Masons lodge and and not a real hard look at the facts. The Police got at a tip off re the Matthews girl otherwise she would never have been found IMO.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Joe.
I can't believe that if this was all made up that we wouldn't hear the Police deny it. But hey, in this whole sorry mess, I guess anything is possible...
Yes, we have to remember that it was a common citizen who alerted the Police but that is many times the case.
Have a nice Sunday!

Thanks guys! :-) And Zodiac, I've missed you too!

Great news about Amaral. He really needed this - the poor guy's not been having a great time of it.
I am still stunned about the book. It just doesn't make any sense in this day of freedom of speech. He's not in charge of the investigation anymore so why can't he publish his beliefs? It's a hollow victory for the Mcs anyway as the book's on the internet and they can't do anything about that!

As for the investigation, everyone knows my thoughts on that! Co-operation with the PJ at the start is the only thing that would have convinced me they really want Maddie found. Um, that and actually searching for her... 3 years later - too little, too late, and a yet another diversionary tactic from the Mcs to make it appear that they are making an effort.

Hope you are having a lovely break, Nancy :-)
