American book about Maddie's disappearance defends Gonçalo Amaral's theory

The theory that Madeleine McCann was not abducted will again be printed on the pages of a book, this time authored by Brian Johnson. Written in English, “Faked Abduction” defends that the abduction theory was built to conceal what the book alleges to be the truth about what happened to Madeleine. The publishing is programmed for the internet and for the North American market before Christmas and is a response to the prohibition of Gonçalo Amaral’s book, “Madeleine, The Truth About The Lie”

by Rita Jordão

In a statement to SIC, one of the persons responsible for the book’s publication and the author of the truthformadeleine.com website stated that he had been in negotiations with the former PJ inspector to publish the book on North American soil. “The negotiations were cancelled after the Portuguese judge’s decision, so we decided to write a book in English, which is factual and non speculative”, defended the person known as Stevo.

According to the same source, the title “Faked Abduction is the conclusion of deep investigative work. The document also includes countless excerpts from the files of the investigation that was carried out by the PJ, and is already being translated into German for possible international publication.

According to the author, the book “illustrates the various witnesses’ inconsistencies, the constant changes in the versions and the lack of cooperation from the McCanns and their friends, known as the Tapas 7, with the police”. “The McCanns have tried to prevent people from publishing the truth about the case (…) after reading the book, you decide for yourselves if this was a Faked Abduction or not”, says Brian Johnson in the text that introduces “Faked Abduction”.

Kate and Gerry McCann’s spokesperson stated that he had no knowledge about the book, yet asserted that any attempt to defame will face justice.

Here's a thought. The McCanns claim the fund for searching for Madeleine is running out so I wonder what they are going to do now.

Are they going to spend what money they have sueing Amaral, whoever wrote this new book, and the Barrister who claimed Madeleine was killed in December and hope they win and get loads more money.
Or are the just going to spend what they have wisely (that will be a 1st) on searching for their daughter.

IMO it will be the sueing option as they are gamblers who seem to think they cannot lose. They gambled before, left their kids and lost one!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Gina.
Yes, they gambled and they lost a child. But after losing a child, they started winning in other aspects.
I also think that option number two is the winner. It's like an investment. Madeleine who?

Well done Stevo in pulling out all the stops to get GA's book published in the States. There will be some almighty rumblings going on in certain quarters after that announcement, I'm sure. Just what is Clarence (their two and a half year voice) going to come out with next. Another spurious sighting no doubt!

Christmas is on the horizon - maybe there will be a sighting in Santaland next!

Hi, Nancy!
Don't give them ideas! LOL

Kate is going to do emotional now!

Hi Claudia and everyone -

Gina -

According to today's Sunday Express (the only newspaper with the article as usual) the McCann's are going to do a series of television interviews on all the channels here and also for the Portuguese reporters. If that's true (and I wouldn't be at all surprised if it is as we are getting near to Christmas), they will no doubt be able to top up the Fund with lots of lovely money to make sure that stone is not left unturned because they are sure Madeleine is still findable!

Cláudia said...

Hi, anon and Nancy.
Who was it who said that the fund would run out by the end of the year?
Someone has to pay for their Christmas presents, right?

ROFL!

Well done Stevo! I will be buying a copy of your book because I am interested and most importantly because I decide what I read and do not read. Not the McC's, not Pinky or English lawyers who think they can silence everyone including MP's in the British Parliament!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Zodiac (says Cláudia whispering).
Shhhh, or they'll sue you for buying what you shouldn't. ;-)

Just had a look at the "Faked Abduction" link Claudia. Wow! The cover of that book is chilling! Imo it is profound! I am sure the content will be also especially the excerpts from the files that will be out in the public domain! No wonder the mother who did not look has to get off her @ rs e two and half years later to be seen to do something!

Forgot to say "Hi" to all in my first post. I do not know where the second half of October has gone! I feel I blinked and missed it! So many celebrations including my own Birthday. Hopefully back to normal soon once the 5th of November is by.

Belated birthday wishes, Zodiac!
I know exactly how you feel. Times insists on flying. I think two more blinks and I'll be cooking for Christmas. :-)Which reminds me that soon I'll have a great excuse to go on a shopping spree. :-)
Hope you're well.

A very belated Happy Birthday from me too!

I tend to ignore mine nowadays as I'm getting well past my sell by date! Problem is that everyone else remembers it!!

LOL!

Thanks for the Birthday wishes Cláudia. I love Christmas and my small family all being together under one roof for a few days enjoying the festive season together and I love shopping.

Good night to all.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy.
I think I'll start doing that too. :-) But as you say, the problem is that people don't let you forget. :-)

It says Kate is going to make an emotional appeal - Why not just an appeal, how can anyone know in advance if they will get emotional.
This is sickening, I just hope there is a large screen behind her showing pictures of her emotions days after Madeleine went missing, Gerry playing tennis, and the pair of them smiling and collecting flowers and a very large ticker saying the best way to get to the truth could be to get the case re-opened, pool on the information gain by the police and PI's and answer all the outstanding questions. As I have said many times before, I am so sick of these two getting so much TV time when others get none.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Gina.
yes, they make me sick too. She probably knows it will be emotional because the script says so. I just hope she's been practising lately. Especially the tears which have always been a bit difficult.

Gina said...

I know what you mean, the only questions that she will be answering are the ones that they have written themselves to be asked.

I cannot believe how this couple, who may be innocent, have managed to make me dislike them so much

Cláudia said...

I don't think that parents of a missing child have ever managed to be hated the way these two have managed. It's probably a record and they certainly are the winners.
Yes, it seems Kate doesn't like questions which aren't approved. Especially if they come from the people looking for her missing daughter.

I would also like to add to the ticker on the "McCann shows"

Stop wasting the fund money Carter Rucking about and producing tacky merchandise and use what you have left for a reward - Better late than never!

If any0ne knows then these "shows" will be on TV please post the dates and times on here so I can remember not to watch

Cláudia said...

I also hope I'm lucky enough to miss it, Gina. :-)

Hi Claudia and everyone -

Kate and Gerry are enjoying another bout of celebrity attention in the newspapers and television today and still looking as though they hadn't a care in the world. How come they haven't aged a bit when most parents would look as if they had the worries of the world on their shoulders.

And still no mention of a huge reward for the safe return of their daughter who, in the newly released photos, looks about 14 or 15 rather than 6 years old - what a farce!

Lots of repeated words and pleas but still no offer of a huge reward for the safe return of Madeleine, or information leading to where she is.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy.
Am I lucky or what? Have escaped their crap all day today. :-))))

It looks like the attempt of the McCanns to shut up Gonçalo Amaral will have little effect, taking this new book into consideration.

I'm wandering... if G.Amaral can't get his book published in the UK, why doesn't he try and get it published in the US?

Cláudia said...

Well, Péricles, even if he wanted to do that, he can't do it now as he is (at least for now) forbidden to negotiate the rights of the book.
