YOUR HELP IS NEEDED!

You can order the DVD of the documentary here: http://212.55.142.230/workmedia/vcm/maddie.html

Guys, lets flood the Procuradoria Geral da República (Attorney General’s Office) with e-mails and ask them to reopen Madeleine’s case. I was told it is a very real possibility and that the PGR is between a rock and a hard place. The Freeport case and the alledged political pressures make this the perfect timing. Write, write, write. Tell them how outrageous it is that a child’s life is less important than political questions. Make yourselves be heard. Each and everyone of you may be essential for the re-opening of the case. I think that Portuguese and English are the best languages to use. But if you don’t speak or write Portuguese or English, than write in the language you master!

This is the website: http://www.pgr.pt/

This is the e-mail address: mailpgr@pgr.pt

THANK YOU ALL.

Without a doubt the case should be reopened and all new information gained by the McCanns investigators (if there is any) should also be given to both the PJ & UK police forces.

It seems there has been a rethink by Team McCann, Kate is admitting that Paedos do exist and cause suffering to children and Gerry is beginning to accept that everybody did not agree with their style of parenting. Well, well, well, it has only taken 2 years for them to realise what most people realised in the beginning

Zetta (if you are around) I only used your puke post as an example of my lacking of understanding of what is really going on.

As I said J4 did a thread dedicated to Kate on Mother's Day. One would have thought they hoped Kate would read all the nice comments. They did not have to put your puke post on that thread at all, which makes a mockery of its purpose. I see now why you said puke!

Hi Gina

I have had computer problems and have had problems getting an Internet connection, so haven't been on much over the past couple of days.

The "puke" post was hysterical. I didn't think they would print that, but the whole thread was ridiculous. They have hundreds of abusive comments on there (I mean let's face it, how often is Madeleine even mentioned there) then some sickly sweet message plonked among all the "eloquent" a*sewipe, tw*t and d*ckhead comments and everyone goes into caring, loving gear till the next flood of insults gushes forth!

Why should I worry about them reading how we defend these people against these sad sick perverted bastards like Zetta?

Stalker Rosie, mulher estúpida, when have I ever said anything against the McCanns that needs defending? Come to think of it, how often do you spend defending the McCanns in relation to the time you spend insulting others to make your pathetic life look good. I would guess 1:99.

"Another thing I don't understand is what Rosie writes under her name on the forum "Still looking for Madeleine". Where exactly is she looking"?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Look how they are panicking? Tick Tock, Tick Tock!
Don't see much panicking going on here. Have I missed something?
Pee: Everywhere lardyboy gonzo DIDN'T look. Which is everywhere but his local bar and resturant!
Stalker Rosie spends all her time on the computer with a whole day of being nasty ahead of her. Where could she possibly be looking? Her cupboards and bathroom? Well that's useful. We can rule them out, now we just have to search the rest of the world and case solved.
Filming in Luz cost 5 thousand euros
by José Manuel Oliveira
Between renting five apartments and several rooms at a hotel unit, meals, gratified services that were paid to GNR, the use of some private spaces and the acquisition of approximately thirty air fares between England and Portugal, the cost of filming for a documentary about the reconstitution of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann was over five thousand euros, as DN was able to establish.
A member of production house Mentorn Media, which is in charge of shooting the documentary – that will be broadcast by Channel Four on the 7th of May – admitted that this is “an expensive production, but within the range of values that are usually paid in the United Kingdom”.
Apart from reserving five apartments at The Ocean Club resort, in Praia da Luz, and hotel rooms to house the English attendants, the production house rented apartment 5A of the complex, where Maddie disappeared from, on the 3rd of May 2007. According to the family’s spokesman, Gerry McCann and the other participants in the filming didn’t receive any financial compensation. Clarence Mitchell said that the McCanns “deeply” regret the negative economical impact on Praia da Luz after their daughter’s disappearance.
In answer to your query re my insurance. I had to get the things that were damaged repaired whether they pay up or not. They said get quotes and after Easter we will look into whether we will pay or not. No heating or hot water etc. I had no choice. I now have to put in the claim for them to decide whether it was an act of god so they will pay, or choose to take the line it was god's will and they are not going against his wishes :-)
Gina said...
Zetta I am glad you understood what I was saying. I don't know why J4 just don't just do all their "defending" on the forum and admit that the blog is nothing more than a pop at poster's blog and leave Madeleine's pictures and all the sentiment off of it. At least ST had the decency to do that
..........................
"Thank you and sorry" Portugal News Online
Brendan de Beer
8/2/2009
Breaking a silence lasting several months, the father of missing toddler Madeleine McCann this week spoke exclusively to The Portugal News about the ongoing search to find his daughter. He also spoke of the effects Madeleine's disappearance has had on his family. Gerry McCann singled out the local community for praise and expressed appreciation for all the sacrifices they have been forced to endure the past two years, such as the negative impact the case has had on jobs and tourism in the area. He also admitted that cash in the Find Madeleine Fund is now only a few months away from being exhausted.
Gerry McCann in Praia da Luz, 04 April 2009
Shortly before leaving for Faro Airport on Sunday afternoon culminating what had been a whirlwind visit to Praia da Luz, Gerry McCann sat down in a Praia da Luz hotel room for his first media interview in months.
“I can totally understand that people want to move on”, said Mr McCann when questioned over the apparent animosity towards him on Saturday when he visited the site of his daughter’s disappearance.
“They don’t want the media intrusion and the negative association with Madeleine’s abduction. For me, and this is going right back to 2007 – I didn’t feel any evil around Praia da Luz or anywhere else in Portugal. What happened here could have happened anywhere in the world”, argued a composed and soft-spoken Mr McCann.
“Actually, the amazing response we had from the community was incredibly important to us”, he said.
As for the heckling by a small group of middle-aged locals who had been monitoring filming closely since Saturday morning, Mr McCann said: “That aspect was everything I had hoped could be avoided”, by keeping the visit under wraps.
He had demanded the utmost secrecy from all those involved in the weeks leading up to the filming of the television documentary by Mentorn Media for the May 7th showing of the programme Cutting Edge on Channel 4.
He repeatedly expressed regret at the negative impact his daughter’s disappearance has had on the region.
“I am sorry for any harm caused to Praia da Luz”, he said, before repeating an earlier request: “I specifically want to thank the local population for all their support and tolerance.”
But news of the sacking of more than half of the staff at Ocean Club resort shortly before his fleeting visit was met with regret by the man whose leftist political stance is well-documented, while his background includes growing up in a working class family on a council estate in Glasgow.
There have also been murmurings that former employees are contemplating legal action against the McCanns for loss of income, especially as the ‘Maddie Case’ is cited as one of the reasons for their dismissal. Mr McCann put this down to “the need to blame someone” for what has happened, saying that if any legal proceedings were to be instituted, they should be directed at “Madeleine’s abductor”.
On his return to Praia da Luz and the absence of his wife Kate, Mr McCann explained: “Kate and I have been desperate to come back to Praia da Luz, but we haven’t done so due to the media exposure and the controversy such a visit would pose. We want to come back and meet the people, without it being highlighted. There is nothing bad about this resort, it is beautiful. In these difficult economic times we don’t want to worsen things. But I do hope people understand why we are doing what we’ve done. This is a key factor in an investigation strategy. Madeleine is still missing. We need to do everything reasonable to get any information. The best thing for everyone is that she is found and that whoever took her is caught”.
Mr McCann ruled out any other visits to Portugal in the near future and as for Madeleine’s mother, said: “She’d love to come back. But we will not be returning for the anniversary. We wanted to come here and do this as quietly as possible and not to disrupt”, with last weekend’s media attention not aiding this desire.
“We want to get to the stage where Kate and I coming to Portugal is not a news story”, he said.
“Walking down into the Ocean Club felt like we were going backwards, that bit of it at least - I was the story with the media focussing on me.
“The reason we are doing this documentary is that it should be about Madeleine. I can understand why people don’t like it or that our level of child care was not to their standard, but the focus should be on an innocent child and that someone has taken her.
“There’s one thing that has been revealed in the case files which is that there is no evidence that Madeleine is dead and there is no evidence to suggest that Kate and I were involved in any theories. It’s about Madeleine. As her parents, I hope people understand that we have to do what we are doing”, argued Mr McCann.
Visibly uncomfortable at the question, Mr McCann, when asked about the toll Madeleine’s disappearance has had on his marriage, responded by saying: “We are united in our search for Madeleine and we are very strong in our relationship”.
And how have the twins been coping with their sister’s prolonged absence?
“They talk about her everyday. They are great. Literally, saying: ‘When Madeleine comes home…’. When we are having bad days [these comments] drive you on”.
But Gerry McCann refused to answer a question on whether or not Madeleine’s room has been left unchanged in the event she is found.
“If Madeleine came through the door, Sean and Amelie would react like she went missing yesterday. She is still a huge part of their life and it’s refreshing”.
What have they been told about where Madeleine might be?
“They completely understand she is missing and they understand someone has taken her. There is not a lot more. We had counselling on how to cope with the twins, given to us by a child psychologist who has dealt with child abduction who said we should fill in the gaps as they get older. But, with us, the psychologist said the problem you have is that there is very little to fill in. The fact remains, she was there one minute and gone the next”.
Mr McCann also admitted that their approach to raising their other two children has been significantly altered by Madeleine’s disappearance.
“I am undoubtedly much more aware of potential danger or a threat to the kids now and things which we previously considered safe, and probably still are, are no longer.
“It’s a horrible balance we as parents now face between being cosseting and allowing the kids freedom, and at what age. I grew up in a very child-orientated environment, playing in parks, with minimal adult supervision. I think that’s healthy”, he explains as he leads up to the question about regrets they have over their actions as parents on the evening Madeleine went missing.
“Obviously what we did [leaving the children alone while dining at the nearby restaurant] we thought was safe.
“The whole aspect of a foreign child being abducted while on holiday never entered our thought process for even one moment, because if it had, we wouldn’t have done what we did”, he said.
An Ocean Club employee has said you were playing tennis on the Monday after your daughter’s disappearance while others were looking for your daughter, is that true?
“That is not true. The first time I think I hit a tennis ball was about three weeks later. We stayed in the Ocean Club for two months. What we were told in terms of counselling was that it was really important we get back into doing things for our mental well-being. Jogging was the first thing we did. It was only weeks later that we played tennis and that was primarily because my sister was over and she plays more tennis than I do.
“About six weeks after returning home, I played some golf due to the solitude and privacy it affords me, but I was followed onto the course by a photographer and that was just horrible - the invasion of privacy. I think Kate has played tennis once in the two years - it has become much harder for us to enjoy the simple things in life”.
On returning to the apartment last Saturday and how he felt re-entering it almost two years after last being there, Mr McCann said: “The apartment doesn’t hold any bad karma. It was just a couple of thoughts really, it was about re-enacting [the events on the night of her disappearance] and it was where I last saw Madeleine. But actually, I felt more emotional at church this morning [last Sunday] with the support and seeing the photograph of Madeleine with the words ‘Help me’ along with the green and yellow ribbons around it was more difficult to cope with.”
Gerry McCann explained his involvement with the documentary, which will be aired next month and shown in several European countries including Portugal shortly afterwards, was purely aimed at finding Madeleine.
He also recalled that failed attempts to stage a police reconstruction were not of their doing.
“We would have been obliged to come back [due to their status as arguidos that was only lifted last July]. It did not fall on us to do it, but other people. Don’t get me wrong, we had major concerns as to why the reconstruction was being done. As opposed to this reconstruction, which will be broadcast with a view to getting new information, the police reconstruction was not aimed at finding Madeleine, but rather to look for inconsistencies. There were 12 or 15 people involved and it is inevitable there would be inconsistencies”, he said. A response which led to the question over his disagreement with Jane Tanner [a member of the so-called Tapas 7] over where he was standing as Miss Tanner walked passed him the night she spotted a man taking what she believed to be a man carrying a child:
“In my mind, I am 100 percent certain I was on the other side of the road, though Jane Tanner and Jez Wilkins said I was on the side closest to the apartment. I can’t resolve that, I remember making a conscious decision to cross the road”.
Mr McCann also revealed that the family has made peace with the fact they might never see Madeleine again, but would never give up the search for her.
“We have always known that’s a possibility and that is why we have to rely on other people. And we have that incredibly difficult balance between doing this [filming the reconstruction] and the human interest aspect. While we also want our lives to be private and normal for the sake of Sean and Amelie, we also need to do as much as we can. It’s a possibility we might never see her again, but until we have absolute definitive evidence of what happened to Madeleine, we can’t stop searching.”
Do you think the Portuguese PJ police did everything within their powers to find Madeleine?
“I think the way you are asking the question is right. PJ did more in this case than on many other occasions and worked extremely hard. And there were many different pressures. If you look back there were probably mistakes made on all sides.”
As for the role of private investigators and reconstructions, Mr McCann said it was a way of ensuring no stone is left unturned in the search for his daughter.
“At the minute there is no law enforcement agency actively looking for Madeleine and by that, I mean looking at the evidence saying; where are the gaps and what more can we do? And that’s what we need. We have severe limitations and issues of jurisdiction and we realise we have to work with the authorities. We will hand over all relative information we obtain as we do not want to waste resources nor do we want to duplicate things.”
The Find Madeleine Fund, which has received around 2.5 million pounds since it was set up shortly after Madeleine’s disappearance in 2007, now appears to be running out of financial resources.
“There’s still money in it”, says Mr McCann, adding: “I can’t give you the exact figure, but we have spent and continue to spend a lot of money with the aim of trying to enhance the chance of finding her.
On the chances of the Fund drying up completely he responded: “It won’t dry up in the next few months, but probably by the end of the year, at the rate we are running.”
He concluded that fundraising is presently being considered as an option to boost funds and thus ensure an ongoing interest in finding Madeleine.
He is now saying what he should have said long ago. Maybe their media/blog monitors said a u-turn and a few admissions are the only way to win back public support and stop the fund drying up
Why has he waited till now to say the statement by the MW employee about him playing tennis was untrue.
Why can't he remember which side of the road he was standing on, he seemed to have no trouble remembering everything else. Or is he correct and JT is wrong about that and what else she said she saw, eg. Bundleman, Murat etc.
Why is he now saying the PJ had many difficulties etc. when he and Kate have both said in the past things to the contrary and why does he now feel information they may get should be passed on. They should have worked hand in glove from the outset with full co-operation no matter what.
Plus he wanted to come back without being highlighted. Why is that then, I thought they wanted to be highlighted in order to stay focused on finding Madeleine.
I am sorry but no matter how hard I try I will never understand the McCanns. One good thing has come out of it though,
Mr McCann also admitted that their approach to raising their other two children has been significantly altered by Madeleine’s disappearance.
“I am undoubtedly much more aware of potential danger or a threat to the kids now and things which we previously considered safe, and probably still are, are no longer.
Gina, that article is EXTREMELY interesting! :-)
Claudia I am beginning to climb down off the fence on this but I am not brave enough to post my views on what I think happened. I am beginning to think the McCanns are innocent, but I cannot say that about everybody else in their group.
The PJ received many conflicting statements which of course arouses suspicion, but sometimes "good" police do "bad" things in order to get to the truth. Making someone an arguido could also be used to divert attention from the main suspects until enough evidence is gathered. Unfortunately, as yet this tactic has not had the desired results, but maybe it will with time. I am probably taking through my butt, but I just have a feeling about something, that is all
Cláudia said...
Gina, I also have many feelings.
One of the them tells me that one of the most interesting things in this case is the McCanns' "blind" faith in the whole group.
Kate and Gerry McCann were the two main suspects in the case. If the investigation had continued, though, maybe other people would have been made arguidos too..
Have to go do the rest of the Easter shopping!
Gina, I used to be a commercial insurance underwriter (fire insurance). I think it is universal that the basic contingencies are:
Fire, lightening, aircraft, explosion. (we used to call it FLEA!)
Anything after that is extra and has to be underwritten on a bespoke basis, such as flood. Hence if a property is situated on in a black flood area, it won't be covered for any price! So, if it's any comfort, i'd say you're covered and that "act of god" doesn't even enter into the equation!
I'm having a hectic day & so I haven't had a chance to read the rest of the comments, but I will as soon as I have a mo :-)
Hi Claudia and all,
“There’s one thing that has been revealed in the case files which is that there is no evidence that Madeleine is dead and there is no evidence to suggest that Kate and I were involved in any theories."
Did I just imagine reading that the case was shelved under Homicide and concealing a Cadaver with not enough evidence (not no evidence)to charge?
“I am undoubtedly much more aware of potential danger or a threat to the kids now and things which we previously considered safe, and probably still are, are no longer.
What a tw@t you are! It takes your child allegedly being abducted for you to be much more aware of potential danger or what could be a threat to your remaining children!
“It’s a horrible balance we as parents now face between being cosseting and allowing the kids freedom, and at what age."
I hope when he says "we" he means he and his wife! I most certainly know and my then 7 yr-old child knew that leaving 3 little children alone in a holiday flat with no adult supervision to go and eat and drink at the local Tapas Bar open to all sorts of danger let alone abduction was an absolute disgrace and most definitely not well within the bounds of responsible parenting! Did he think at the time don't cosset allow freedom! Hmm who's freedom was uppermost in his mind in PdL! Hmm actions speak louder than words!
"I grew up in a very child-orientated environment, playing in parks, with minimal adult supervision. I think that’s healthy”, he explains as he leads up to the question about regrets they have over their actions as parents on the evening Madeleine went missing.
Hmm "with minimal adult supervision" not Zero then but minimal! Yet your three little ones had Zero! Even if they were checked every 30 mins (which I do not believe as the crying incident supports that) they still had Zero supervision for 30 mins!
“Obviously what we did [leaving the children alone while dining at the nearby restaurant] we thought was safe.
"The whole aspect of a foreign child being abducted while on holiday never entered our thought process for even one moment, because if it had, we wouldn’t have done what we did”, he said.
Hmm what was it your wife said to FP at the table not long before M disappeared. Something like M & S cried the night before and M asked where were you when we were crying? So K told FP that they have left the door opened so she can get out and find them, she was not sure but you said something like it will be fine, it will be fine! Is that giving freedom and not cosseting? Is it well within the bounds of responsible parenting? Or is it plain bl**dy ignorant, selfish and neglectful! I know what I think it is!
On returning to the apartment last Saturday and how he felt re-entering it almost two years after last being there, Mr McCann said: “The apartment doesn’t hold any bad karma. It was just a couple of thoughts really, it was about re-enacting [the events on the night of her disappearance] and it was where I last saw Madeleine. But actually, I felt more emotional at church this morning [last Sunday] with the support and seeing the photograph of Madeleine with the words ‘Help me’ along with the green and yellow ribbons around it was more
difficult to cope with.”
The apt does not hold any bad Karma! You allege that someone abducted your child from that apt! What exactly would it take for your to feel bad Karma then? Although having seen the photo of you smiling on that balcony one would think you had just arrived to start a lovely holiday and not a heartbreaking return to where you allege your beloved child was snatched from by an organised paedophile ring!
Gerry McCann explained his involvement with the documentary, which will be aired next month and shown in several European countries including Portugal shortly afterwards, was purely aimed at finding Madeleine.
He also recalled that failed attempts to stage a police reconstruction were not of their doing.
“We would have been obliged to come back [due to their status as arguidos that was only lifted last July]. It did not fall on us to do it, but other people. Don’t get me wrong, we had major concerns as to why the reconstruction was being done. As opposed to this reconstruction, which will be broadcast with a view to getting new information, the police reconstruction was not aimed at finding Madeleine, but rather to look for inconsistencies. There were 12 or 15 people involved and it is inevitable there would be inconsistencies”, he said."
It did not fall on you to do it! That sounds like your attitude to child safety IMO! You claim your child is abducted by paedophiles yet you do not ask or plead for everyone to return to take part in an official re-enactment! Yet you constantly spout how you will do everything and anything to co-operate with the authorities! Utter BS! Inconsistencies or Lies!
A response which led to the question over his disagreement with Jane Tanner [a member of the so-called Tapas 7] over where he was standing as Miss Tanner walked passed him the night she spotted a man taking what she believed to be a man carrying a child:
“In my mind, I am 100 percent certain I was on the other side of the road, though Jane Tanner and Jez Wilkins said I was on the side closest to the apartment. I can’t resolve that, I remember making a conscious decision to cross the road”.
Hmm did the alleged Abductor cross the road?
Hi Claudia and all,
HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE!
"Pee said: Rosie, if you told me the moon was made of green cheese I would believe you!"
Zetta - LOL! Gee and Kay tell them their child was abducted and they believe them without question so it comes as know surprise the no brainers would believe the Moon was made of cheese if they and their team told them that! They probably think Wallace and Gromit are real and would use this to support their theory:
http://wallaceandgromit.wikia.com/wiki/The_Moon
Composition
Due to its round shape and craterous appearance, popular stories have frequently claimed that The Moon is made from Cheese. It is due to this property that it attracts the attention of Wallace and Gromit in A Grand Day Out. Upon discovering that they have no cheese in the house, Wallace decides to take a holiday to a place with cheese, and decides the moon is the perfect destination. He and Wallace build a rocket, light the fuse, and travel to the Moon.
Upon arrival they confirm that the Moon is, indeed, made from cheese. Possibly Wensleydale or Stilton according to Wallace's assessment
Have a great Easter Zodiac!
Have just seen this in the newspaper about Madeleine's fund. They are talking about the amount of money spent on the search.
This included £250,000 for search fees, including the bill for Spanish private detectives Metodo 3, £111,522 for legal costs and £123,573 for campaign management.
Which legal costs are mentioned here?
Out of all the money they have spent only a quarter of a million (out of the £2.5) has been spent on actually looking for Madeleine? Over £5000 a month has been spent on campaign management! Not the campaign but the management!
-----------------------------------
Lovely weather again! Going out to enjoy the half-term Easter.
Cláudia, I thought that any of the McCanns legal expenses were not to be paid for by the fund. They wanted to start a separate fund for that.13% of the fund for a search and lots of that was for a fraud company? What's all that about? Almost makes you glad that Stalker Rosie is "looking for Madeleine".
Cláudia said...
Hi, Zetta.
Apparently not. The part I liked the most was the money spent on 'Media Monitoring'. It's very important to find a missing child. All parents of missing children do that. Some seem to think that the fund might be their downfall.
I think Poops should have called them and stopped the latest 'campaign' and the documentary. After all both are intended to reveal clues and find Madeleine. But that is not necessary because Poops has it all figured out.
I still think her basement should be checked. ;-)
She reads? ;-)
Well, if you do that, Cláudia, just post how awful everyone is who doesnt agree with Rosie and then as a PS you can say it is a shame Madeleine is missing. The PS isnt absolutely necessary though!
Mum21 just for you. I dont care what you think. You are so unimportant to me that I don't feel the need to lie about whether or not I was on the blog.I most definitely was not on that filthy blog you so mistakenly call a Madeleine McCann and family blog six times yesterday.
"Cleverly" you told the world where you live so Cláudia will be able to check her records accurately (not using guesswork like you are) and see whether or not you have been on her blog or not.
Didnt you embarrass yourself enough with your "I have software and can see the Forumotion mail is a fake" idiocy? Forumotion certainly didn't say it was a fake when it was on their help forum.
I'm sure your answer to this will appear on the filthy PH-H as you are constantly on this blog.
I suggest you and Stalker Rosie get some therapy. You have an over-inflated sense of importance and you are delusional.
Hello Claudia
It really saddens me when I see people posting things on here to just 'have a pop' at other sites.
(I know other sites do this as well)
I look at lots of sites many times a day. But I don't make rude comments about other blogs anywhere.
I don't think it will help Madeleine. And as far as I'm concerned, she's the only person who matters here.
There seem to be lots of interesting things happening in the next couple of weeks.
Please lets concentrate on this and stop trying to score points.
The only loser will be Madeleine.
Cláudia said...
Hi, Zetta.
Haven't checked anything today because I have people over and the only thing I've done was check e-mails and posts. Will do when I have the time.
But not long ago one of Bum's visits took 5 hours, 32 minutes and 51 seconds (I wrote it down).
Cláudia said...
Hi, JJ.
You are entitled to your opinion and I respect it. But the comments I approve or not will always be my decisions, as I'm sure you'll understand.
If you think there are many interesting things happening (and there are, believe me), your comment could have also reflected them. So, what do you think about all the interesting things happening?
Zetta said...
JJ
I was getting a bad conscience about writing so much about the PH-H.
To be fair though, it wasn't all I was writing about. Their hypocrisy and false accusations get on my nerves so much that I went over the top here.
As Cláudia said - her blog, her decision about what is printed. She can always tell me to shut up, she knows that!!!
One last thing, JJ, do you think the blogs in general do any good? Cláudia's idea about sending e-mails to get the case reopened was very practical help, but the other places aren't helping in any practical way whatsoever.
J J said...
Hello Claudia
From the 'trailer' of Gonçalo Amaral's documentary, it looks like he is determined not to give up until Madeleine gets justice.
I hope so.
I don't see how the McCanns can say that what he says is wrong if he is using their statements to the police.
I'm sorry I don't speak Portuguese, will there be English subtitles in the film or will there be an English transcript published.
Cláudia said...
Hi, Zetta, exactly.
I'm not much of a fan of deleting messages, for many reasons. In fact, apart the messages people send me and ask me not to publish, the ones I refuse to publish are mainly posts accusing the McCanns of the most terrible things you can imagine and posts which contain only insults and threats. I also refused to publish Poops. when she tried, right in the beginning.
But you're right. It is ultimately my decision. And I know that if I told you that I wouldn't publish a particular post you would understand.
As for your question to JJ (I no it wasn't directed at me but I'm answering it anyway), no, I don't think blogs will make a difference in what solving the case is concern. Of course not. But I know they are a good way to keep pressure and a wonderful annoying tool! LOL And believe me, they are monitored. All of them.
Cláudia said...
Hi, JJ!
I have no doubts he has no intention of letting thos go. And he will keep fighting for the truth to until the case is re-opened.
Simple, because they use lame excused like 6 dead bodies, dirty nappies, rotten meat and Cuddlecat at work next to dead bodies. :-)
If you click the link below the youtube video it will take you to one website where you can order the DVD is English. Although I'm not sure, it will probably be narrated in English and subtitled when necessary.
My DVD recorder is broken so I'll have to ask someone to record it for me. But I have little doubts that a summary of the most relevant points of the documentary will soon be available in English.
J J said...
Hello Zetta
I can understand that you get annoyed when you are quoted on a blog you don't post on.
I only read the comments on any blog about the Madeleine case. And it suddenly occured to me that I was skipping over most of the posts because they weren't about Madeleine
I really don't know if the blogs do any good. But there isn't anything we can do.
Personally, I like it when someone comes up with a new and different theory. And I always hope that perhaps the police will see it and think 'maybe that could be the answer.'
Hopefully, in the next couple of weeks we will have some progress.
Cláudia said...
JJ, do the same I do on the 3 As. Skip whatever doesn't interest you.
I'm not a big fan of theories. Especially theories which are rich in details, for obvious reasons.
The Police does not read blogs and fora looking for possible theories to investigate. That's not what police work is all about.
I think the next months may be interesting.
Going to get dinner ready!
Zetta said...
How did Time magazine get away with an article entitled "Who Killed Madeleine"? I'm surprised that they got away with saying she is dead.
I have just read that the McCanns wouldn't answer any press questions that they weren't given at least 2 hours in advance. I hadn't heard about that before. Is this a myth or has anyone else read this?
---
Mum21.You're a compulsive liar, get therapy.You REALLY need help. Seriously.
Cláudia said...
Hi, Zetta.
Because the McCann can't prove Madeleine is not dead. And because they never sued any publication which wouldn't settle out of court. Don't forget that they only got money from publications which published crazy stories.
No, that is not a myth. That was widely known when they were here in Portugal. There is a Portuguese journalist, however, called Sandra felgueiras which was probably the only one who had the guts to break their rules and ask them difficult questions which they had to al least try to answer because the cameras were filming. There's an interesting clip of her asking them twice if Madeleine had had any sort of accident whicg could explain the existence of blood. They were clearly uncomfortable because they weren't expecting it, avoided the question but weren't capable of denying it. If I find it, I'll give you the link.
Yes, a compulsive liar is a good definition. I've known that for at least one year and a half.
Hi Claudia and all,
Happy Easter Sunday!
Zetta,
Never shut up!
JJ,
'The only loser will be Madeleine.'
JJ I support GA's theory, as his theory supports my thoughts when I heard this news on the 4/5/07. Imo the little girl lost on a so called family holiday in May 07. The little girl also lost by being unlucky having the parents she had. The little girl loses nothing by bloggers exposing other bloggers as the ignorant frauds they are! The ignorant frauds are doing nothing for justice for a little girl who was supposedly abducted on the 3/5/07. The ignorant frauds infest the Fora for ulterior motives, the ignorant frauds imo follow orders from the bigger fraudsters. The little girl who mysteriously disappeared seems has had only 13.3% of monies collected spent on so called searching therefore imo the little girl will always be the loser if the fraudsters are not exposed. Therefore that is why I say Zetta never shut up!
Cláudia said...
Thanks, guys!
Happy Easter, all!
J J said...
Hello Zodiac
I agree with what you are saying. I just feel if you ignore someone long enough, they will get fed up and go away.
They thrive on attention and publicity.
Deprive them of that and there is no point in them being there.
But it is up to Claudia who and what she allows here, I will just have to skip over the bits I don't want to read, as Claudia suggested.
J J said...
Hello Claudia
There are lots of things in this case which don't add up.
Some could be lies or just mistakes.
But the one thing I find very difficult to understand is the involvement of Gordon Brown and the British Ambassador.
Nobody disputes that these people were involved, but why?
Madeleine is no more or less important, than any other missing person.
Normally a British person abroad would get consular assistance to help with things like translation.
But never an ambassador.
I hope this subject is mentioned in the documentary tomorrow.
Cláudia said...
Hi, JJ.
It's not Madeleine who is more important than any other missing child. It's the McCanns who are more important than any other missing child's parents. Have any other parents been able to set up a fund like this one and be in the media the way the McCanns do? The day we know why is the day the truth will emerge, IMO.
J J said...
Hello Claudia
I think any parent of a missing child could set up a fund such as the McCanns.
But they don't. They are far too busy doing other things. Like searching for their child and doing everything they can to help the police find the child.
There are so many things that don't add up. I hope we get a lot of answers tomorrow.
Zodiac said...
Hi JJ,
'Madeleine is no more or less important, than any other missing person.
Mc even gets them to pick him up from the airport when he returns to Portugal!
Cláudia said...
Hi, JJ.
What I meant with the fund it the amount of money they were able to gather. Not the fund itself. of course anyone would be able to set up a fund. getting rich backers, however, is another story.
But yes, couldn't agree more. Common parents are worried with more important things.
Oh my! I go away for a weekend and there is so much to comment on that I'm feeling a bit lost on it all.
Zetta, I love the way you are so direct and witty with your responses to the PH-H. I think they are very much needed as it is not right that PH-H can post so much vitriol without reposte. However, I see JJ's point of view in that if we ignore them completely, they will no doubt leave us be. That said, the HoF will still rely on using our reasoning and rhetoric to plump out their own agenda which is to decry the antis. I'm a bit divided in how I think this should be dealt with and can see logic in both Zetta's and JJ's points of view. I will say this though: Zetta, you are hilarious and I haven't stopped PMSL reading your comments :-) I think I will leave it at that!
WRT the funds and how the McCanns 'triaged' the disappearance of their daughter, if they are innocent of any involvement, I believe that most people can see that it is the oddest, most convoluted way of finding a missing child to have ever surfaced in our times of media coverage. Absolutely nothing they do makes sense. Absolutely nothing they do can be construed as contributing a positive role to finding Madeleine. The McCanns appear to be at an opposite pole to that of the easiest path of finding her. Their actions are both detrimental and at the same time, anomalous to those of genuinely grieving parents of an abductee.
I don't understand it, maybe I will never understand it, which surely must make this case the mystery of the present century?
Zodiac, you summed things up perfectly :-)
I've had a lovely weekend and my mother is coming tomorrow and I'd like to return the favour and cook her something lovely. Any suggestions please that don't involve meat? Cláudia, I'd welcome a virtual recipe if you have one ;-)
Dear Claudia, I wanted to say that surely you must be a Goddess? I have dedicated a shrine to You that I worship daily and make offerings of cookies and coffee to. I beg your forgiveness in asking my humble question, but could you tell me if you would prefer your biscuits dunked or dry?
I would be most honoured if you could answer my question and will do anything you ask of me in return for an answer.
Your most humble servant, Claudia Claudetta.
:-)))
Have a good day folks xxx
Cláudia said...
Hi, Dylan.
I'm not sure about the subtitles.
Zetta said...
That's really nice of you to take my chocolate biscuits off my hands, Dylan. Thanks!
Hi, Claudia.
Just wanted to let you know that I'm a lurker who never posted before. This time, however, I couldn't resist posting and telling you that yours is the best blog I have ever read in my whole life. I know you are never wrong and I believe everything you say. I would trust you with my own life. You also have the best, most intelligent, nicest posters in the World Wide Web. I admire all of you so much, I don't have words to express it. I think you are all special people, touched by God.
Bless you all.
O que um maravilhoso blog!
Beijinhos, Cláudia, filha de justiça.
Thank you anons and Claudetta, the blog is indeed marvellous.The credit must go to Cláudia, she has worked very hard on it the last couple of weeks.
"Dylan, Zetta as seen the error of her ways! :-)"
.....I think that's called 'fear', Cláudia ;-)
I am thinking of making my own Cláudia statue to worship, but I'm not sure that I have enough clay for your brain, so I'm off out now, to walk 30 miles to the coast and personally collect new clay to model it. I shall of course be walking barefoot over hot coals on the way. Beat tha Zetta!!! - Pass the bickies please? :-)
Hi Claudia and everyone,
I hope you all had a very enjoyable Easter and didn't eat too much chocolate. I see that you got through quite a few packets of choccie biscuits Claudia!
It's going to be very warm here today so that's something to look forward to.
nancy said...
Claudia -
What did you think of the Goncalo Amaral television reconstruction? Can you let us have a short breakdown of what happened when you get time.
I have been reading McCann Files and see that Paulo Sargento said in one of his reports:
"The possibility of an abductor (either premediated or committed on impulse) having entered the apartment taking the little girl, leaving through the window, leaving no trace, without being seen, would be lower than the possibility of a cat falling on a piano keyboard and playing the anacrisis of the four notes of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony"!
How right he is and why don't our newspaper reporters realise just that and print it FGS!
Hi Cláudia,
Thank you for the links for the documentary. I was able to watch some of it. It was streaming very slowly must have been so many people watching it. I have a 20 MB connection that is delivering 20MB so that shouldn't have been the problem.
I did see the bit where Jane Tanner walked by Gerry and the other man. For heaven's sake she almost fell over them. Then bundleman in the distance. Well she must have eyes like a s*it house rat to have seen any detail at all. From what I saw it looks like time just may be running out for the McCann's.
Good morning Claudia,
There are some clips on Joana Morais' blog and some commentry too.
Apparantly, K&G are furious about the documentary, hmmmm....wonder why?
There is a petition within one of the comments to sign to try to get the C4 documentary from being aired. I think it would be much better to let it be aired and then air GA's documantary for comparison. Now wouldn't that be an ambarrassment for them?! A spokesman for the McCanns said that that would never happen as they would STOP it. WTF??? How did the McCanns get so much power as to control our headlines, our TV viewing and freedome of thought?
I've said it before, I know, but it no longer feels like a democracy here. How dare they presume to control what we watch.
Makes me so angry.
Cláudia said...
Hi, Nancy!
My Easter was great, thank you. It is always great when you have the people who love close to you and they're ok. Hope yours was fine too.
I found the documentary interesting and I thought it was very smart not to demonize the McCanns and focus on the impossibility of what they stated.
Unfortunately I'm back to work tomorrow so today will be a busy day because I have a translation to finish which needs to be done today.
Paulo Sargento is a very bright man.
I would be ashame of my press if I were a UK citizen!
Enjoy your day and the weather!
Cláudia said...
Hi, Helmy!
The documentary was a great tool to make some things clearer and to confront them with their own statements.
Jane Tanner's vision should be studied. With that distance and the lighting, it's incredible what she saw. And even more incredible the way her memory improved. A scientific phenomenon!
Let's hope so.
I have been busy lately but have just had time to catch up, look at videos, other blogs etc. and I am still as confused as ever. It looks to me that a big sue fest is looming. I am wondering the following: Will the Portuguese TV channel now be added to Carter Rucks list after the documentary last night. Apparently screen shots of bloggers posts have also been sent to them so they must now have more screen shots than Warner Bros film studios. When is this ever going to be allowed to be just left to investigators to solve. It does not matter anymore who sues who (apart from money of course!!), the damage is done. No one is going to change opinions of those who dislike the McCanns for their actions or Amaral for his. I agree that making false accusations and libellous comments on blogs is wrong, but is it right to copy and past those comments to give them further coverage onto a blog that claims to be fighting for justice for madeleine. People who genuinely care do what they have to do without finding the need to let the world know what they are doing. Heaven knows what will happen when their clock eventually ticks no more, they will all be struck dumb I guess. It is all becoming so childish and pathetic. Whilst I do not think there is anything remotely funny about the disappearance of a child it is refreshing to see some humour on here from time to time.
Cláudia said...
Hi, Dylan!
We know they are. They're not used to not controlling things. But fortunately, they control control our press so tough!
And do you think yesterday's documentary will get to the UK?
I have no idea about the motives for their power. I'm just glad I live in Portugal. And I have to confess I have never dreamt the UK would one day rely on a smaller country for information.
Have a great day, Dylan.
Cláudia said...
Hi, Gina.
Their Portuguese lawyer just said he received no indication to sue anyone because of the documentary. Not that I'm surprised, of course. Their Portuguese lawyers know that lawsuits here go to court and they know what happens. Witnesses, examinations, cross-examinations, etc.
If the investigation had been left to investigators only, it would probably have come to an end soon. That was the problem.
My clock tells me that I have work to get done before I get back to work. :-)
Enjoy your day!
xxxx
Gina said...
Yes Claudia, it has always seemed odd to me that none of the Portuguese Papers etc. have been sued. I also noticed that the McCanns changed their comments regards the police when it suits, it is now mistakes were made by all. Those who have not blogged or read reports from both countries have no idea what is happening (if anything) they only see what is written in the UK papers, and if I am brutally honest, I think they read it and just think how sad as they have done with other missing children.
I too have things to do, have a good day all
Cláudia said...
Hi, Gina!
I don't find it odd at all. :-)
Yes, I loved the 'they worked very hard, there were many pressures and there were mistakes from both sides' bit. Two years later, I find that EXTREMELY interesting. I bet the inhabitants of the HoF loved it too! :-)
Have a nice day!
Gina said...
Claudia, here is my scenario to explain it all and let no body loose face on this. :-)
The only lies that were told were about how often they checked the kids and explains the conflict in statements.
Amaral is correct Madeleine did die in the apartment but at the hands of a child abuser who put his hand over her mouth when she woke. Therefore the scent of death was correct.
The blood was no more than from maybe a graze previously which had been cleaned up and forgotten about.
The abuser opened the window, but realising it was not an easy way to escape left via the door and took madeleine with him. JT did see someone on probably the only time they checked and only made the mistake of her memory improving with time rather than fading. This was because she was trying to protect the McCanns who were now arguidos.
This is only a possible scenario and is no more than that. It is one I am going to stick with to save my own sanity whilst at the same time hoping that one day the actual truth outs. TTFN
Cláudia said...
Gina, LOL
I suggest you read the files. The information is out there. It takes a lot of time and it makes you have to think alot and take many, many notes. But it's the best way.
BTW, one of the Tapas checked after 'the abduction' (after Tanner's 'vision') and said the window was closed. The abductor must have taken Madeleine and then come back to open the window. ;-)
Back to work.
nancy said...
Hi Dylan,
How are you? Hope you and the children enjoyed your Easter and Mum enjoyed her veggie meal! I usually make vegetable lasagne which people seem to love.
I normally agree wholeheartedly with Tony Bennett, but this time I agree with you that the McCann's 'version' of events which led to Maddie's disappearance should not be banned. People must make up their own minds and I think that after almost two years of non stop blogs about them and never ending publicity stunts from the McCanns, the majority of people have sussed them out.
If it was banned, those who can't make up their minds, or are on the fence about what happened would side with the McCanns in my opinion.
I know the TV channels only want it on the screens to make money, and the same goes with the McCanns - I believe they will get half a million for it, but I would like to see them make a fool of themselves quite honestly, because, in my opinion, it's all been a pack of lies from the start with the whole bunch of them.
Now of course the Americans can look forward to seeing them on the Oprah Winfrey show for a cool million dollars as apparently that has been confirmed.
Making money out of a missing child is the lowest depths anyone can go to but nothing surprises me these days quite frankly.
Re-opening this case could be interesting but... it could also mean a big waste of money!
Honestly, I'm not sure there's anything that can be done at present.
I'm 99% sure that Maddie is dead and the corpse was hidden... and has already been retrieved by her parents.
It's just too late.
Cláudia said...
Hello, Péricles.
I respect your opinion. But I don't agree with it.
First and foremost because this is a little girl we are talking about and no amount of money is more important than a child, especially when we see politicians wasting tax payers' money everyday in futile things, like replacing their two year old cars.
Secondly, I'm not the giving up type and I believe it is almost never too late.
I'm all for putting up one hell of a fight. :-) I just hope the establishment has a bit of pride left. Pride and guts.
