Disgraced 'journalism'

Pulhas nojentos

Disgusting rascals

The scoundrels who swarm editorial offices of British rags have already started to bark again, almost certainly following the orders of the advisers of the neglectful couple who left three children alone while they were gulping bottles of read and white during their holidays in Portugal. Gerry and Kate are now willing to do a ‘reconstruction’ of what happened that night, after having refused the PJ’s request to do it.

The why is understandable. The neglectful parents feared – and they were clear about it – that the reconstruction requested by the PJ was intended to confirm the statements of the nine friends who allegedly had dinner at the Ocean Club that night. This ‘initiative’ by the couple of neglectful parents is mentioned by the obedient English press, namely by “The People”, which takes the opportunity to release false information. These idiots say that the Police have renewed public appeals by displaying and handing out around 10 thousand leaflets in which information about the missing child is requested.

This could be the opportunity to ask these fools from “The People”: who is paying you to release false information? The new campaign mentioned was launched by the neglectful parents and not by the Police. As always, the pink appendix who accompanies the couple of neglectful parents vents out some innuendo aimed at causing tears to the gullible. The pink thing says that there are new elements which could lead to important leads. Yeah.. But no telling the Polícia Judiciária about that information, right?

Hello Claudia

If you were the parent of a missing child, and you discovered new information, wouldn't you immediately tell the police?

I would!

They are expecting new information to come to light with this TV programme.
If the McCanns don't like the information, will it still be broadcast?

We'll never know will we?

Cláudia said...

Hi, JJ!
Of course I would. Any normal parents would.
In fact, having new information and not contacting the Police is not only suspicious but also against the law. of course I don't believe there is real new information. Just noise.
Nothing the McCanns don't like will be included, IMO!
No, we won't, JJ.

I too would think that the McCanns have some sort of contract which would allow them to have shown the things they want only.

Apart from that, who else is involved in this production? Just the McCanns, their friends (maybe) and a TV crew. I don't suppose for a minute that they will be inviting the PJ along, so it will be the McCanns' version of events only which is shown.

What will happen if the PJ watch the film of this and see that things happen in this reconstruction that contradict what is in the evidence?

Anonymous said...

Hi all,

I am stuck for words, really as to this new campaign. It really is an insult to the PJ. I really hope the Smiths contact the Madeleine hotline following the "reconstruction" and tell them: "Yep, after having watched it, I'm now 100% certain I saw Gerry carrying Maddie down to the beach. You never know, it might prompt the PJ to unshelve the case. Well I can but hope!

It's been a beautiful day today and tomorrow London is expecting a barmy high of 17 degrees :-)

It clearly shows how the phantom abductor of PdL did not use a getaway car! How easy it was for him to abduct one of the 3 children who were being looked after well within the bounds of reasonable parenting! How he disappeared from PdL without leaving a trace! And also that there are a great many people who were never questioned! And that the alleged abducted child is safe and well and fundable oops sorry typo findable!

Claudia could you discard my post before this one I mistakenly sent it unfinished.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Zetta!
I think the McCanns only did this 'reconstruction' because it shows what they wish only. And that is also why I think they refused coming from the reconstruction the PJ requested. For those who read the files, the interviews and the rogatory letters. it is quite hilarious to imagine how a reconstruction according to what they all said (in all the versions) would go. And that was exactly one of the goals of the PJ.
Yes, it seems all the people involved are connected to the Mccanns. It is, however, interesting to see that only two of the 'friends' came. And I also think the PJ won't be invited! ;-)
That was a very interesting question you asked, Zetta. In fact, Gonçalo Amaral has just mentioned it on live Tv. In his opinion, if there was political will and if that happened, the case could AND should be re-opened...

Just realised I repeated myself in the last post! Sorry.

For the sake of argument, what would happen if the reconstruction was nothing like the statements given to the PJ (which would of course make the whole exercise a waste of time anyway, but let's say it was like this)? Could anything be done legally? Like whatever the legal term for trying to muck up an enquiry is!

Cláudia said...

No problem, Zetta!
As you know, I'm no legal expert, but from what I could gather, IF there was political will (which seems to ne non-existent up until now), that could be used to re-open the case.
Pervert the course of justice, maybe?
Well, I'm just overwhelmed. For us here in the third world who only ride bikes, it would be a dream come true if we could see a Jag.

Hi, Zetta.
I guess I could but since I've done my master's, I got this fear of innacurately reporting other people's words. It might have something to do with having people telling me what could happen if I did it for around two years! And I haven't seen it from the beginning. There was someone at the door. Argh!!! I'll try to research. I promise I'll do what I can.
Mr Payne was mentioned...

I wonder when the employees of MW have received their redundancy payment if their memories of 3rd May will improve.

I have just read that Team McCann are close to getting the abductor they just need the last vital clue!! I realise now why there is a reconstruction, they are expecting bundleman to turn up and play himself!!!! What a farce this all is

Cláudia said...

Hi, Gina!
As far as I know, only one 'abductor'.
So you think this isn't for real? ;-)

Gina said...

To be honest Claudia I have read a lot about this reconstruction today and tried to see it from the Mccanns point of view, but no matter how I try I cannot come down on their side on this at all. I think they are totally out of step with the real world. Gerry probably thinks the lack of crowds was due to his fans not wishing to hinder the filming

Good morning everyone -

Thanks for the new thread Claudia -It's a pity some of our press don't print the many pictures of the McCanns laughing and acting as if they've won the lottery rather than losing a daughter. What a fawning lot they are and the People the worst of the bunch.

I read on the McCann Files - admittedly it was reported by the Daily Star, which is about good enough to wrap your fish and chips, or sardines in - that the little girl who is the daughter of the McCann's Vicar friend, sobbed her heart out while doing the reconstruction of the supposed abduction and the one playing 'bundleman' tried to calm her by giving her some pot noodles would you believe!

What sort of monsters are they who use an innocent young girl and frighten the life out of her acting out something like that? Why couldn't they have used a dummy instead of a little girl?

Poor tortured Kate couldn't manage to make it to PdeL with Gerry, not that I blame her for not wanting to take part in this farce, but to say it was too hard for her beggars belief. As usual, she is just thinking about herself again, just like she and Gerry did the nights they left their children. Just what sort of a Mother puts her own feelings first?

It seems to me it's never about Madeleine and how hard it's been for her, but just about them and how much money and fame they can make for themselves.

nancy said...

Claudia -

An interesting remark by GA about Payne and the bathtime connection with him.

Gerry supposedly asked him to check on Kate to see if she was alright and coping with the children's bathtime. I'm not sure if I 100% believe Gerry and Payne because having read all the statements by the rest of the tapas where none of them remember seeing Maddie that day at all, it's strange that only Payne remembered seeing her at bathtime. However, if it's true that he, Gerry and Kate were the last ones to see Maddie then why didn't he go to PdeL to act out that scene?

Or was it just a figment of his imagination?

nancy said...

Claudia -

Regarding the role of governments in this - I can't see Gordon Brown or his cronies ever saying or doing anything doubting the McCann's version of events.

Brown, and Blair before him, just loves celebrities and is often wining and dining these delightful people at the taxpayers' expense.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Gerry and Kate have already graced the dining table at Number 10!

Zodiac said...

Hi all,

'You stupid woman. My family travel in a Jag.'

I would not be surprised at all if it is a Jag that is used for her and her family to travel. Just imagine here comes the nice man or woman dressed in white to administer the jag, eyes roll, lids close and off she goes travelling. Sometimes on her own and sometimes she sees her family with her. Ooh and on the really special occasions she stops off (courtesy of the jag) at the One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Cafe! There she gets to meet up with all her famous friends her special friend being Dickie her neighbour who owns his own Aeroplanes. Sometimes he lets her have a little fly around in one of his aeroplanes. Whilst at the Cafe she never takes of her lovely white jacket as she has trouble undoing it at the back and when she asks those around her to do it for her they just say there, there dear more cream on your scone, milk with your tea, lets have a little chat!

Zodiac, I love the Benny Hill clip, thanks for posting it.

I read on a certain blog (hmm..wonder which one?), that people on the 3as, here and on Viv's, know what that "vital clue" is and that some of us are against the "reconstuction" because we don't want it to come out. Strange that we have been blogging for 18 months to try to find answers then when we already know!

Also, the Portuguese state has declared the McCann's as innocent and that we are stupid for not recognising this. This person needs it explaining (sigh) again, that the case was shelved due to lack of evidence and was NOT a declaration of innocence. The case could be reopened at any time should fresh evidence come to light.

Funny how some people have had to have this explained to them since last July, and STILL don't get it ;-))

Have a good day all.

Quote from Clarence Mitchell...

"We have already apologised over the disturbance that we have caused to the people of Praia da Luz but you must understand that Maddie's parents see this documentary as necessary to continue the investigations into their daughter's whereabouts", the McCanns' spokesman said,

.................................

Yes, and YOU MUST UNDERSTAND, that
many find it more disturbing that you are not sharing this so called new information that you have with the police, and they also find it disturbing that even if they accept your reasons for not doing the police reconstruction that you have waited two years to do one of your own. Even the local priest did not want the circus in his church and it is disturbing to see the Daily Mail reporting "Gerry helping with the Mass" which is a downright lie

Gina said...

Forgot to say, even the little girl playing Madeleine didn't want to do it and screamed so much they had to stop filming. Did that stop them, no, it just messed up their schedule a bit. A cold night, a distressed child in pyjamas, but still the show must go on. Sickening

Cláudia said...

Hi, Nancy!
I know you can't trust The Star, but it is true. It happened. Levy spoke about it yesterday morning (he was there) and it was reported by other people too. People who saw it with their own eyes. It's absolutely disgusting. Poor child.
I think Kate is scared.
GA still has a lot to say. It's a feeling I have.
As for the governments' (there are two) involvement in all this, I don't see it changing much either. But governments change.

Old pogo thing's mine. I resd it first, it's mine. Sorry, Zetta, but you know how things are in the third world. Anything goes! :-)
Dylan, I'm contacting my lawyer right now (ok, she's not my lawyer, she's a lawyer and gives me coffee and cookies which makes her my favourite lawyer in the whole world) and I'll have them all arrested. You'll see. My lawyer is going to call the authorities and have them expelled from the Island! :-)
Now seriously, unfortunately I don't know what the vital clue is. If I knew, I think I would love to see K%G back in Portugal. :-)
A short legal lesson: someone can only be declared innocent if there is a trial and the person is acquitted. But let's not confuse them. Yes, not enough evidence.
Dylan, they still haven't read the files which many people worked hard to translate. It might have something to do with the fact that it contains things they don't like much. For example, in the files there is Mrs Fenn statement which they insisted never existed. In it, Mrs Fenn (another victim of the mCcann publicity machine) says she heard Madeleine crying for more than an hour, something which they said was a horrible lie from spiteful, hateful people. Oh well...
Have a great day too!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Gina.
You're not surprised that's a lie, are you?
Gerry went to the church very soon. That way he wouldn't have to confront Father Pacheco (who was very clear about what he felt) and especially he didn't have to confront any of the church goers who didn't have nice things to say (they still managed to speak a little to the press and were as clear as Father Pacheco!).
In normal circumstances, withholding evidence from the proper authorities is a crime. Of course I don't believe there is any evidence, so I'm pretty sure there is no crime. :-)
GA was on live TV yesterday. He seems to have some interesting thoughts. I'm just waiting for a clip to be available to work on it.
Have a good day!

Gina said...

Claudia I don't think you got the other post I made in which I said even an upset child only managed to delay the filming. The show must gone on

Cláudia said...

Gina, get rid of that sentimentality. It's tacky! The show muct go on. A production can't be stopped because a child cries. let's face it, in 2007, children crying wasn't a problem either, was it?
Sickening? Naaa... Well within the bounds of responsible parenting. ;-)

Cláudia said...

Hi, Gina.
I did, Gina. I was answering other posts. It got through! :-)

Gina said...

Oophs we keeping crossing in the post today. I can think of words stronger than Tacky, but as Clarence Mitchell says we have got to understand their reasons and it it clear (to him at least) that their way of doing things is correct and anybody who does not see it from their point of view is wrong. That includes, police, priests, people who looked for Madeleine while they didn't, and people who care about finding the truth no matter what.

Have a good day all, off to do boring things that need to be done.

dylan said...

Hiya Nancy,

Well said. As Claudia said, they didn't care about M crying out in the night for an hour and a half, so why should they care about another child who is upset? It must be very distressing for a child to have to act out being snatched. How is a child of that age supposed to be able to internalise the obvious distress that this causes to someone other than an adult? Jeez, I think it would even scare me. I've seen and heard about children appearing in horror films, but I'm pretty sure the film crew and director do their best to film in such a way that the child is not exposed to scary things so that it appears on film that they are, but in reality, aren't. Does that make sense?!

In this case, I think a dummy would have been better. It could have been made to look like the child too.
However, the McCann clan and co, don't seem to care who they upset and traumatise do they?

Happy Easter hols folks.

Hi all,

Just had a look at PH-H myself, Cláudia and it is, as usual, extremely racist. The drivel that's written there also says that the Portuguese are not even child lovers, etc.

The language is also shocking, as in the name-calling, such as this:

"odious fatso Gonco Bunter"

- I think someone has forgotten about commas, hence the shocking language ;-)

That place is so depressing.

Anyway, on a lighter note, I have come up with a plan for the pogo stick. How about I send you, Zetta, the bottom bit and all you have to do is find some rusty bicycle handlebars for it (can people in Portugal afford bikes?), and I'll send Cláudia the top bit and all she'll need to find is a large spring and a couple of pegs. If you guys can afford mattresses, maybe look in the dump and take a spring from that? Problem solved! :-))). Please don't use any parts that say "Made in England" though, send them straight back to us as they're too good for the likes of you!!!

Dylan, don't be! It's quite boring and it takes a lot of work. It's nice if you're translating about something in which you're interested. If not, it is boring and sometimes depressing. Of course translating requires people to have a good knowledge of a language. But that is not enough. It's something quite technical, especially if you're translating something which is very specific. Funnily enough, I don't find medical terms difficult to translate, generally speaking, because there are similarities. I hate translating legal stuff and statistics (these not because they are difficult but because it's the most boring thing ever!).
Now that I bored you to death, I can wish you a god evening! :-)

Not bored at all - still impressed! Medical terms I suppose ofetn have latin foundations and so if you learn those terms it's not so bad. Son is having problems with Biology because of all of the long words, but he's good at mathematics which is a language too! Strange.

I do think you're better at English than me which is either embarassing or just a credit to you :-)))

A non-native speaker can in fact be better than a native speaker -- at least in writing -- as the English education system (unlike those in Europe) does not care any more about spelling, punctuation and grammar. It is so bad that people are graduating from university without even being able to write their CV correctly.

It has become a matter of pride for many people to write mis-spelled and poorly punctuated rubbish on the basis that it's the thoughts behind it that count. Too bad if you can't discover what those thoughts are because the writer expresses them so badly lol.

Hi, JennyH.
Yes, I understand what you mean.
But don't think that's a UK problem because it isn't. We say the same thing here in Portugal and I know teachers and Professors say the same thing about their countries. During my academic path I have encountered teachers from the UK, Germany, Brazil, New Zealand, US and France, that I remember. All said exactly the same thing about the Education system in their countries. And as a teacher, I also say the same because I know that students are now a lot less prepared than I or my colleagues were. And I sometimes deal with students who are only around 10 younger than me.
And that text message language is awful. Just awful. It's every teacher's nightmare. reading what kids write nowadays can be quite an experience. I sometimes despair.
Rant over! :-)

Good morning all, another lovely day :-)

Hi Jenni H and Cláudia,

You are quite right. When I started my teacher training, I was shocked to see that schools no longer mark down for bad grammar. I was trained in Geography and had to mark essays. I was told that even apalling grammar wasn't penalised, so long as the student had scored marks for correct geographical content. You only have to look at Facebook to see the difference between the youngsters and older people, and sometimes, even older people write in 'text language'. When I wrote my profile for the dating sight, I mentioned that people who write in text speak needn't bother! I still got emails saying things like: "Yo!wot u up 2, wud lk 2 meet u." ....sigh!!!

Zetta, I noticed on the PH-H that RP said she is not going to post your posts. What does she do? Copies and pastes them there instead! Hmmmm.....

Have a lovely day all and enjoy the sun if you have it :-)

JennyH said...

Claudia, you say it's the same everywhere? Good grief -- I don't know if that is reassuring or depressing. Depressing I think.

What I have seen in European schools is much more discipline and respect so I find it hard to believe standards are as low as they are here.

It's gone way beyond a staffroom moan to become a national issue. And not just in English -- it's the dumbing down of standards in every subject.

JennyH, I'm glad you joined this blog. Your posts are either intelligent and thought provoking or brilliantly hilarious!

I too have found your posts interesting and am glad you have a sense of humour too. I am not sure exactly where you stand on all this, semi on the fence I guess.
One word of advice, stay on the fence but stay on one blog. It is impossible to do anything other than that. By posting here your name has already been mentioned on J4. Make a post there and you will join the list of "we know who you really are" comments.

The whole thing is becoming so pathetic and childish and the latest thread IMO is racists. There are good and bad in all countries.

Cláudia said...

Good morning, Dylan!
BNot marking down for bad grammar is ridiculous. That's why kids write the way they do. It doesn't matter the subject you're writing about. Students have to write correctly. Period.
Text language is not a problem if it is used in text messages. The problem is that kids used at school.
Not much sun here!
Have a great day!

Cláudia said...

Hi, JennyH.

teachers from everywhere complain about it. I think it's depressing.
I'm not in a position to say if it is worse in the UK than here. In terms of discipline and respect, you might be right, although there are also problems here. Problems which are very recent and which you didn't har about 4 or 5 years ago.
Yes, the dumbing down is, sadly, general.
Have a lovely Tuesday.

Hi Claudia,

The behaviour thing is a real issue too, but I always found the Portuguese students (there were many where I taught) were generally polite nad hard working until their British counterparts led them astray by peer pressure. Must be that Portugal has better family values than over here, at least that's the way I saw it!

Cláudia said...

Hi, Dylan.
No doubt. The behaviour issue is also starting to be a problem here. 10 years ago it wasn't. I think 'normal' families transmit good family values, wherever they lie. The question is that parents don't do their jobs like they used to. Parents are afraid to say no and to enforce rules. Parents want to be their kids best friends and that doesn't work. Parents have to be parents. Friends do not enforce discipline, parents should.

Hi Gina

I have no intention of posting anywhere else. Why would I want to?

As for where I stand, like you I am not sure. I do not care for what I have seen and heard of the McCanns and cannot imagine leaving my children as they did, but I don't find the evidence pro or con sufficiently convincing to take a dogmatic position.

Fence-sitting has negative connotations, as it can imply you are either weak or are looking to ingratiate yourself with everyone.
This need not be so. I am just not sure -- and it's not for lack of thinking about the case.

One thing I do know is that swearing and hurling insults and childish names at people with different views in the name of a missing child is sick.

I agree with Claudia that people with social and intellectual pretensions who post that way must have very repressed lives, so they let it all hang out in cyberspace. Sad.

nancy said...

Hi everyone -

Lovely to see more and more people posting on Claudia's blog -
'because she's worth it', as the advertisement goes!!

I think that while good teachers can make a lot of difference in the way pupils turn out, at the end of the day its parents who must take the responsibility for their kids' behaviour.

When it comes to the dumbing down bit, that comes from the loony leftist lot who seem to run this country, and I'm sure other other countries have the same problem, with their politically correct dogma! I know what I'd like to do with the lot of them.

We have kids coming out of university - lovely kids, but without being able to spell the simplest of words or even put a sentence together. It's not entirely their fault, but is encouraged by those in education who accept second best instead of encouraging kids to aim for the very best. Their attitude is that you mustn't upset kids who are not as clever as the rest. The way I look at it is that everyone on earth has something going for him and is good at something - we can't all be academics after all.

I worry more about the anti social behaviour of a lot of youngsters these days - just yesterday two kids of 9 and 11 were arrested for torturing two other youngsters and the mother of one said words to the effect that it wasn't her responsibility!! What chance to children with mothers like that have?

Enough moaning - there are actually a lot more lovely kids in this world who never get a mention, than there are bad and that's a fact.

It's cold but sunny here and I've just got back from a tramp around the local fields, trying to avoid disturbing the sheep, cows and horses though. I have to keep the old bones from giving up on me!!

nancy said...

A reporter from one of the newspapers (can't remember who) mentioned that Gerry 'almost' cried when revisiting their apartment.

I've noticed how many times the McCanns, in front of the cameras, have tried very hard to squeeze the tears out, but by what I have seen it seems they have laughed more than wept over their daughter's disappearance.

JUSTICE FOR MADDIE!

I'm no saint. I have said things I shouldn't have and I have no problem admitting it. But behaving like that everyday for the last almost two years would have killed me. I have no idea how people live like that. As I said, it has to make people shrink and wrinkle and make your hair and teeth fall out. :-)
Cyberspace is probably the only place these people can be themselves.

It really is sad to know that there are people coming out of university and who don't know how to spell.
That story about those two kids tortured by other kids made the news here. But I hadn't heard the comment by the mother...

I also heard that, Nancy. Apparently it came from a friend of Gerry. I liked the 'almost' part. Well, most of the times we can't trust what the press publishes, butI can trust my own eyes. And most of the pictures taken here showed a smiling Gerry, escept when people told him to go home.

I may have said this before on Viv's, so apologies of I did - I had a really badly behaved child in my class, so bad that I had to call his mother. She told me that if I couldn't control her child, it was my fault!! How nice of her!

I too see fence sitting as bonus rather than a weakness. Any debate, anywhere, on any subject, wouldn't be a debate with everyone in total agreement!

Off out to be beaten at pool again by my son. Kids have no respect for their elders these days ;-)

Hello All,

How can teachers despair when children cannot read and write? Teachers are paid to teach but don't do it properly.
How can a child go through eleven years of schooling and numerous teachers and not one of them noticed that the child was illiterate?

I despair of the so called education system.

As for children's behaviour, that is down to the parents.

End of my rant. Thanks for allowing me space Claudia

nancy said...

There is nothing wrong at all in being 'on the fence' with this very intricate and disturbing case. Nobody has the right to say the McCanns killed or abused their children in any way because there is no proof of that whatsoever.

What I can't stomach are their reactions to the loss of Maddie and the way they have acted - the silence when it suited them and the silence of their tapas pals too.

I just wish they hadn't taken on a spokesperson, the dreaded CM,which they are still doing, and had the courage to speak for themselves - people would have had a lot more respect for them for that.

What people are disturbed by, myself included, is the way that all of them, not just the McCanns, left their kids night after night to go out and enjoy themselves and consequently put their children's lives in grave danger. The outcome of their selfishness was that Madeleine is still missing, and we don't know whether she is alive or dead.

Then Kate refusing to answer the PJ's 48 questions when it could have helped in their investigations just makes me wonder what kind of caring mother could do that.

I also condemn the way Gerry McCann jumped on the media bandwagon immediately, showing the colomboma in Maddie's eye when they were advised against that by people who should know, i.e. the police. And setting up a Fund in their daughter's name, parading around with posters, selling tatty goods, and immediately helping themselves to other people's money from the Fund to pay their mortgage, to my mind, is nothing short of disgraceful.

They have acted the very opposite of what normal grief stricken parents would act and nobody can deny that. If they, and their pals, did that to keep their middle class lives and careers going then that is despicable as far as I'm concerned.

I certainly don't think that Maddie was abducted by a stranger, unless of course they were all lying and they didn't check on their children at all the night she went missing. They have never given an explanation as to how that could have been carried out apart from saying there was a window of opportunity, which, if their timelines are right, it wouldn't have been possible, and there was no evidence in the apartment of any intruder.

It has always been my theory that there was an accident in the apartment that night, either by Madeleine getting out of bed and fatally hurting herself, or she, along with her siblings, was given sedatives to make them sleep.

But, at the end of the day, none of us knows for sure just what happened that night, so in a way, we are all on the fence about it!

Be back tomorrow - have a good evening everyone.

Education

Originally the idea of "dumbing down" in schools was to make sure that more people left with qualifications. It was thought that being qualified enough to go to university was only possible for the élite and the others had no chance of making anything of themselves.

Madeleine

Whatever happened in May 2007, it must be very strange to be back in Praia da Luz for G McCann.

If everything is being filmed in Praia da Luz I suppose we will see how near the tapas bar really is to the apartment. There have been so many difference distances given.

Gina, I can understand that if the McCanns do in fact have new information they wouldn't hand it out to everyone. I never understood that before when everything was in the press forewarning everyone what was being investigated.

Dylan, what does PH-H stand for?

This Tony who keeps popping up, have you noticed that he hasnt once mentioned Madeleine. His only "contributions" are saying he has made screenshots, sent a mail or is telling someone that someone said something? That sounds like a stirrer to me, Duck Captor!

Wouldnt it be lovely if the families of Mum21 and Rosie could see they way they write on the net. The real them. I didnt include the other two contributors (Pee and Tony) because Pee's family must be used to his stupidity and Tony is so bitter and twisted that I don't suppose he has one.

Another thing I don't understand is what Rosie writes under her name on the forum "Still looking for Madeleine". Where exactly is she looking?

Lastly, the forum has a saying about mediocre minds misunderstanding great spirits on its title page. Who are the mediocre minds and who are the great spirits?

About the forum, Cláudia! Don't worry! Now we now why Pee's daughter is so "accademic" (sic).

Cláudia said...

Hi, Zetta!
That supposed BBC reconstruction is a myth used as an explanation for the fact that they refused to come for the one requested by the PJ. Under Portuguese law no reconstruction which would be televised could be done. It would actually break the law. Don't forget the the reconstruction the PJ requested was to be carried out according to the statements and rogatories contained in the files to reveal (or not) the inconsistencies and confront them with them. The files were only revealed after the case was shelved so no law was broken. Therefore, broacasting the reconstruction would be revealing the files which was legally impossible. Of course their two Portuguese lawyers told them about that. Probably even before BBC was contacted. Which is probably why they contacted BBC. Because they knew it would never be done. Not because the PJ was in a bad mood but because it would break the country's laws.

As for the rest, ROTFLMAO!!!!

Morning all!

JJ, re. education, I don't think it's entirely the teachers' fault, but mainly the rules that they have to abide by. When I was in teaching, I got to see how much teachers have their hands tied. I'm not sure how much grammar is taught in high school English, but I do know (from my daughter's homework) that grammar is taught very well at the junior school level. Even though we weren't allowed to mark down for grammatical errors, when I marked geography essays, I did write comments about poor spelling etc. as much as I could. However, when you have 30 essays to mark, you can't possibly pick up on everything, and so I think that the solution lies within the English department, as Geography teachers main remit, is to ensure that the principles taught in the subject are learnt and understood.

Hi Zodiac, good to see you :-)

Zetta, your 1.03 am post - ROTFLMAO!

WRT. not mentioning Madeleine, I have heard that they have a private blog for that, much the same as Super Troll did, and that their forum's existence is primarily there to call us antis nasty names. I pity them!
They would be more respected if, when something positive hits the headlines, that instead of using it as a stick to beat us with, they posted comments such as: "I'm really heartened by the fact that..." It's a shame that they use their "public face" to show such vitriol and childish name-calling. I can't see how that helps Maddie at all!

Claudia, glad you had a lovely afternoon.

Hi everyone -

According to a new 3A's thread the McCanns are going to appear on the Oprah Winfrey show - the one they wouldn't do when they were still arguidos - so poor delicate Kate who was not fit enough to go with Gerry last week to do the reconstruction has made a miraculous recovery so as to earn their rogue Madeleine fund a lucrative million dollars!

I hope, if this is really going to happen and it's not just bad publicity, that Oprah makes sure she gets some straight answers from this pair because she herself was abused by a family member as a child and will know the rumours that are abounding at the moment.

Hollywood film next I should think!

nancy said...

McCann Files today has some comments by Goncalo confirming just what I said the other day, namely that Payne, who was one of the last to see Maddie (supposedly) on the 3rd May, should have gone back for the reconstruction.

I wonder who played Payne's part in the farce bearing in mind he was said to be one of the key players.

Have a good day everyone!

Gina said...

Looking at this from both points of view these are my views. J4 are sending screenshots of abusive comments towards the Mcanns all over the place. I cannot see what the purpose of that is. Surely they must realise by now that these comments only appear in the cyberworld, and the McCanns have probably not read them, so they have not been hurt by them. If they have also been forwarded to channel 4 to be included in the documentary to show what the McCanns have had to endure then it is only going to inflame the situation, and I might add hurt the McCanns reading some of the dreadful comments.

Apart from the latest incident in PDL when Gerry was geered by a few the McCanns have had a lot of support through funding etc etc. and have therefore been able to continue their search in the way THEY WANT TO. IMO they have been far more fortunate than others in the same situation but have had criticism because they have taken the publicity too far.

There have been several blogs trying to stop posters making abusive comments, and I have been party to that. We tried and failed. I am now questioning what this is all about really, for example, J4 had a thread dedicated to Kate on Mother's Day, why did they need to put Zetta's puke post on it. Was it to incite more abusive posts I wonder!!

The first years of education are essential for a child's academic path. Moreover, the dumbimng down comes from above, not from teachers. The goal is two look good in statistics. They can send screenshots to Obama, if they want to! Gina, the McCanns know it all. Don't forget the 'Media Monitoring' thing! ;-) They know more than God does. The only thing they don't know is that parents are responsible for their children's safety. That they still haven't undestood.
Gina, can you imagine the 3 Arguidos mentioned on the Mockumentary? What great publicity! LOL I hope it happens, but since they have PRs, I doubt it. ;-)
The fact that the search has been carried the way they want to might be the answer why it has been fruitless.

The point is Claudia, those bad mouthing the McCanns are only cyber people.

That may be so in some places. Not in Portugal, I can guarantee you.
Not bad press in the UK at all because the UK press are run by a bunch of eunuchs. In Portugal the press is not afraid of TM. 24 Horas published that Gerry wasn't Madeleine's biological father (the files say that is a lie), they said they were going to sue and I heard someone from 24 Horas on live TV saying 'bring it on'. They didn't sue not because they weren't right regarding that particular article (I think they were) but because I'm sure their Portuguese lawyers told them that 24 Horas would not settle out of court. And once you're inside a courtroom, things may get out of control.

Zetta (if you are around) I only used your puke post as an example of my lacking of understanding of what is really going on.

As I said J4 did a thread dedicated to Kate on Mother's Day. One would have thought they hoped Kate would read all the nice comments. They did not have to put your puke post on that thread at all, which makes a mockery of its purpose. I see now why you said puke!

JennyH said...

Gina and others

You haven't done your J4 studies diligently enough.

The J4 Purple Blog is reserved for foul language and public insults, because they can get away with it there.

The public face of the J4 Chocolate Forum, thanks to the intervention of the forum bosses, had to be toned down; in private they are apparently hatching a cunning plan to find Madeleine by remote control. Well that seems to be what Pee is getting excited about on the few occasions when he is coherent and has his Spellchecker on.

I seem to recall that Zetta's 'puke' comment appeared on the blog -- were they really so impressed that they quoted it on the Forum?

Gina said...

Does anybody actually care if Gerry is Madeleine's biological father or not, that is not the issue, they should just stick with the facts of the case as they see it IMO

With regard to the Oprah interview I have my doubts that it is genuine. Firstly the scanned pic that is supposed to be in the magazine is a year old. The wording on the right of the pic looks like a scanned photocopy, to me, and not a scanned copy from a magazine. Hmm now the last time the Oprah interview was supposedly on the horizon what was it they were trying to divert the public away from? The whole pretendy Oprah 1 million deal was not around May 08 but Jan 08.

Gina,

'these comments only appear in the cyberworld, and the McCanns have probably not read them, so they have not been hurt by them.'

If that is the case Gina then why did KM mention in their last borefest McMockumentary the nasty bloggers. Imo they follow the blogs and are well aware of the content, also imo the nastiness comes from their own chimps paid or unpaid. I would not be surprised if they feature in the May McMockumentary an added box to the pile they have with the words nasty bloggers written on it.

Zodiac said...

'The point is Claudia, those bad mouthing the McCanns are only cyber people.'

I most certainly do not agree with the above comment.

What is it based on? How would you know Gina as you live in Spain?

Cláudia said...

Gina, I understood what you meant.

Hi, JennyH!
You just gave the worl a crash course on the Houses of Filth! ;-)

Of course, people should care, Gina! if a newspaper published you weren't the your son's biological father woldn't you demand that they paid for their lie? Believe me, if a newspaper such such a thing about me, they would get sued in a blink of an eye and I would only rest when the court forced them to publish a public apology. The question is why didn't they sue after saying they would.
Courtrooms are places where sometimes the unexpected happens.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Zodiac!
Maybe Gina is talking about the public opinion in Spain. Or among the ex par community, because the feedback I have from Spain is not that.
I can't speak for the common citizen in the UK, so I won't. But judging by the comments on online newspaper articles, things seem to have changed. I can, however, speak for what happens in Portugal. And in Portugal they aren't fooling anyone anymore.

Gina said...

Zodiac I do not think you have really understood what I am saying, my fault not yours, I didn't write it well.

I realise that the only people bad mouthing the McCanns are not just cyber people, but the way J4 go on about it you would think the McCanns were being booed and hissed at and be unfairly treated everywhere they go. What I meant it is only cyber people who mention it daily

Cláudia said...

Gina, if they moved to Portugal, then they can experience that daily! ;-)

I now know how far the Choccie Forum will go to boost their numbers.

Rosie has admitted that something like 8 of her close family members post there (all saying they agree!). Extend that to the other disciples and hey presto you have an 'army' lol.

They have other ways of appearing to be popular, via a form of creative accounting!

Gina said...

Claudia maybe they intend to have one big suefest when they have found the vital clue that will prove everybody wrong :-)

I am making a total mess of expression my opinions on here today so off to do something else.

Gina said...

BTW I forgot to say that it has always been my opinion that too much publicity ends up eventually with bad publicity, so I got that right if nothing else.

Cláudia said...

JennyH, that's hilarious! Not that surprising, but histerical!!! :-)

Cláudia said...

Gina, I think all the deadlines to sue the newspapers expired here.
Agree on the publicity thing.

Zodiac said...

OK Gina.

My friends, my mobile phone just told me something that made my day, maybe my week, probably my month/year.
I know it sounds annoying, but if it is confirmed, it's excellent news.

"Rosie has admitted that something like 8 of her close family members post there (all saying they agree!). Extend that to the other disciples and hey presto you have an 'army' lol."

I noticed that too and thought it very odd. I wouldn't dream of involving my children whether I was pro or anti in my McCann opinion, and I certainly wouldn't allow them to post. Especially seeing some of the foul language they would be up against from the PH-H. I'm shocked that they are proud of the fact that they use vulgar language and are happy to brag about it to their offspring! Mind you, it doesn't entirely surprise me. So now we have a whole new generation of Rosies, Vees and Mums that are going around telling people that they are fat, lardy, zitty, butt ugly, hairy and sardine munchers. Charmed, I'm sure!

I have just looked back at the posts I made today, oh boy, full of bad grammar, typos, spelling mistakes. I have an excuse. Yesterday my house was hit by lightening and to cut a long story short this has resulted in me having workman here all morning trying to sort out all the damage caused to my electrics. Bottom line is I have just written a cheque for 1500 euros for repairs, I doubt the insurance company will pay up, I am totally pi..ed off, and need to start my own disaster fund.

Cláudia said...

Hi, Dylan.
If and when it happens, everybody will know. :-)

How encouraging to think about a whole younger generation using that language! LOL

Cláudia said...

Hi, Gina.
Sorry about your house.
1500 Euros??? Damn!
Gina, can I be one of the directors? Pretty please? Ive got my eye on a nre laptop, by the way. Not that it is related, of course. :-)

Gina, what a nuisance and so much money. Doesn't insurance cover you for Acts of God?

Did your hair stand on end? I hope you weren't standing under a tall tree -- well obviously you weren't or we'd not be hearing from you any more.

Maybe now you will have experienced the smell of electrocuted gecko? If it's anything like fried gecko (they sometimes climb onto stoves) well ... I won't go there.

Cláudia said...

Hi, JennyH!
Oh God, I don't even know what to say. The idea of friend geckos and their smell has made my skin crawl! LOL

This is Spain, rang the insurance first thing this morning they said "it's Easter, ring back on Wednesday". I wanted to say so what is the point of you being in the office then, but I controlled myself for once

Cláudia said...

Gina, see why Portugal and Spain are 'brother' countries? LOL

Claudia it has taken me 3 years to work out that mañana as far as they are concerned, does not mean tomorrow, it means not today and they use the word until the eventually decide to turn up. Luv 'em and bless 'em

It does ring many bells, Gina! :-)

Claudia this is strange. Yesterday the lightening strike, burned out the master board on the boiler and my Tv digi box ( which has a surge protector on it BTW), the LNB on the Sat Dish, the master board on the camera for the gate, it cooked all the wires to the Satellite dish, but did not blow the computer so the act of god did not try to stop me posting :-)

Off to cook dinner

Interesting that the Spanish/ Portuguese Easter 'weekend' runs from Wednesday to Wednesday!

Gina, hope you get things sorted out. Things can be like that here too. It's very frustrating!

I have a horrible feeling that I've caught my mother's cold as I feel a bit shivery and my nose is tingling. I see lemsips on the horizon :(

Just wanted to post a message of sympathy to the people of Aquilla who suffered the earthquake and its aftershocks this week. My heart goes out to them.

Will start a new thread soon and you'll see why I was busy!
It's important and I'll need your help.

Gina -

So sorry to hear about the lightening! What a lot of money to have to cough up - I sincerely hope you can get it back from the Insurers. I know what you mean by how long things take though. We have been waiting for Iberdrola to refund a huge amount they took from our account by mistake - always excuses!

Sorry to hear about the damage to your property and the expense incurred as a result. Hope you get your money back.

Dylan,

Hope you keep well and are not as ill as your little one was. How is she btw? My thoughts are also with the people of Italy.

Cláudia said...

Dylan, sorry for not replying. Was so busy.
Hope you're feeling better.

Hi Zodiac,

At the moment I don't feel that ill and I'm hoping I'll fight it off.

Littlun is so much better which is a relief. I'd rather be ill then her any day.

Gina, I really hope you get your money back, I hadn't noticed how much it came to, you poor thing.

Claudia, made a comment on your new thread. Thanks for giving us a chance to help. It was my pleasure.

Off to bed now.

Sleep well all.
